So when I use the remote to unlock my car nothing happens. But when I stick my key in, and unlock it, the car alarm goes off?
What is wrong? Anyone have anything similar?

Your question is IMPOSSIBLE to answer. Reasons: A) Don't know what make/model of car you have, B) Don't know what alarm system is installed, C) Don't know who installed it, D) Don't know if you've read the instructions and if you know how to properly use it. :dunno: :scratch:So when I use the remote to unlock my car nothing happens. It shouldn't. Mine doesn't go off unless I reach through the window and unlock it from the inside while armed. If you lock the car with a remote and unlock with the key the alarm will go off. 50% of cars will do this. Its to keep people from picking your lock to break into your car. If you lock the car before you get out, or with the key once you get out, you should have no problems. Otherwise I cant help you.
*facepalm*Yeah its the alarm system.
Yeah its the alarm system.
If locked with fob the key will (supposed to) unlock and disarm it- both doors and trunk, i just checked. Also says this in the service manual.to put it short. i dont know of any way to disarm it with a key. AT ALL. someone might but im pretty sure its not possible.
This started happening ever since I got a new masters switch for my window, I have no idea how to turn it offSo when I use the remote to unlock my car nothing happens. But when I stick my key in, and unlock it, the car alarm goes off?
