Hi,

So yesterday I finally decide to go on a very very long drive (around 400km round trip), on my way back i tried to eject the disc (i havent ejected it in a really long time) and it gave an error (Bad disc); and it will not eject. Up until this point the disc used to work fine, its kind of my standard playlist if once in a while i wasnt in the mood for FM which is rare; so in all reality that disc has been in there for a year without a problem.

I am now unable to remove the disc and it says check owners manual. I cant find anything relevant in the owners manual what to do in this situation, it just warns of the kind of bad discs.

This is on a Honda Accord 2008 GCC spec

1 try pressing EJECT for 5 seconds or more. There is also a "forced eject" feature some players have. With the car off press the power and eject button on the player for 10 seconds or more. or hold eject button while turning the radio on (power up)

2 disconnect battery cables and short together. This resets a lot of stuff. Replace cables and try radio again.

CAUTION: do you have your radio code to re-enter into the radio? If no, don't reset the computer.

3 You might need to pull it out with needle nose pliers while hitting eject button.

Is this a "home burned " cd with a label? That label might be hindering the ejection of the cd.

Number three is tricky though depending on your skills you might actually destroy the player, so be VERY VERY careful with 3.

Anything?

You still listening to the same 12 songs?

Did you get a chance to try any of the suggestions?

Or did I waste my time again

i wonder if theres a cheap mp3 player.. i can connect and control via the steering controls.. for skipping tracks etc.. probably sounds like whitewine.. but this is my first car that has volume and track control on the steering, and i really like it :D

I had the same problem with my 04 Accord 6CD changer. I was eventually abel to take the CD out, but the next time I turned on the car, the CD player was dead.

Turns out it is something to do with vibrations overtime killing the player. The stock radio costs like $400 online, so I ended up getting a separate radio.

Exactly the same thing has happened to me; and now im stuck.
I cant even press the AUX button to make it go to AUX input mode. And since I just recently moved here I really dont know any garages that can give me a decent CD player for cheap. Totally stuck ATM with a radio that kicks out of range randomly..

Thank you!!! Mine stopped working and CDs were stuck. Step 1 fixed it. The car had to be off. Best thing it fixed it to where the CD player is working again. This was for a 2006 Honda Accord.

One thing to note: In the service manual it says when removing the CD changer/or moving it out of the way to get to something behind/on top of it or what have you... to remove all the CD's from the device before you start to mess with it; to prevent damage to the unit (which could lead to the eject operation not working correctly).
