Came across pics of the 2026 Accord refresh in China here Honda Accord gets a nip and tuck for the 2026 model year

I like the changes to the front end. Makes the car look sleeker and more aggressive. 2026 will be the fourth year of the 11th gen and that is when Honda typically does a refresh. We shall see if they do and if so what the refresh looks like.

If they brought the exterior refresh (not the interior) for 2026 US models, I think they would see uptick in sales. So many people stayed away because they didn't like the bland generic look of the 11 gen. I think this refresh would appeal to more people.

I don’t like the jowls/fake air vents. Why does every car have to have fake air vents/jowls in the front bumper? The Camry really doubled down on this the last few years. No, it doesn’t make it sporty or fast. It makes it look cluttered and tacky. I like the restrained uncluttered design of the current Accord. It will age well.

I quite like the front redesign. But the front end design was never really my main issue with the 11th gen design anyway, it was mainly the rear, which looks the same in this.

Not sure I like those "jowls" on the front but would have to see it in person

Amen to both of these...

It looks like some intern the design department thought it would be cool to try to make the front of the Accord look like it had a front wing (like Verstappen's Honda).

It's not cool. Assuming that there's no vents behind them... it's bogus.

It's bad design. It should be embarrassing for Honda.

I like the redesign. It adds some extra character flair over the current design to make it a little less generic and stand out more.

There's a few reasons why an 11th gen is not for me, but this takes care of one of them.

I think Honda needs to do a much more comprehensive overhaul for 2026- especially in the rear. I think the updated front bumper is fine- but I think it needs a bit more over the 2023-25 design. I think Honda needs to ditch their current "three box" headlight design that they are putting into all of their vehicles and go back to the headlight design from the previous generation- which not only performed well but looked really unique.

In back- I'm not sure what it needs- other than a complete rethink. The current car is just too bland... I've said it since the 2023 model was revealed- take off the Honda badges and the car could be used in insurance commercials as a no-brand car.

I know that the previous generation Accord wasn't to everyone's liking- especially the claw taillights- but at least it was distinctive.

Inside- I hope that they can do something to make it a bit less bland- especially the black interior.

What pray tell is wrong with the current headlights?

Quick photoshop job...
Yay or nay? 🤔

Except for the vertical LED lights, it looks too similar to the 2015 Accord pictured below. Not saying that it was a bad design, it was actually very good. One of my favorites. However, I’d like to see more evolution in the front end from the ’23-‘25 than going back to a retro 2015-ish look.

Keep in mind that those pics are of the '26 Accord for the Chinese market where drivers have different aesthetic tastes then drivers outside China. And Honda is competing against OEM car makers and designs in China that we never see in the West. So they must think this new front end will be appealing and competitive in that market.

Why get upset when we have no idea if the same design will be used elsewhere? Or will they just slap on a different bumper cover for other markets...?

In the past, we've seen Chinese/Japanese Accords with fancy interior LED accent lighting features that were never offered here, so don't count on having them in a '26 "Western" Accord. ;)

I'll have to see this in person to decide on whether or not if I do slightly modify my Accord to have the refresh look in addition with the Yofer kit.
