hey guyz . im new in here and i was plannin to buy the 8th gen accord coupe and since i live in a really hot country and would be moving to Canada in a year time or so . i was wondering how would the climate affect my car since it might me made to be suitable for hot countries. i just needed a lil bit of help on wat to do with my car if i take it to Canada with me.
would i have to change some parts of the car or is it just useless taking it there?

Hondas are all over the world, in every climate. What's the question? :dunno:

well i know hondas are all over the world . . but the cars which come here are suitable for hot weathers. . and the only thing i got to know now is that ill probably have to change the radiator and the exhausts or something . .
the thing is . . some parts in the car are different for it to be suitable to the climate . .
so all i wanted to know is which parts exactly would i have to change for it to be suitable in the cold weathers. .

Depends on where in Canada you're moving to.

If it's one of the REALLY cold provinces, you'll want to have a block heater installed and a battery heating blanket installed. If it's in one of those SUPER REALLY COLD provinces, you'll also want an oil pan heater installed.

When I visit winnipeg, nearly all cars have a block heater and sometimes an interior heater.
All public parking lots have separate zones, short term (less than 2 hours) and longer than that. The longer time parking spaces all have plugs.

The dedicated wheels with snows are now becoming mandatory across Canada, usually from Nov 1 to May 1.

I think all the cooling system and exhausts are pretty much the same worldwide.

they dont build cars with different parts to be specific to a certain climate. first of all, that would create huge expense and complication from a manufacturing and distribution point of view. second, people are able to drive their cars anywhere the road can take them, so they have to make cars that can stand both heat and cold.

if someone in the hot deserts of california (like palm springs) wanted to go snowboarding one weekend at mammoth mountain, they dont have to change any parts of their cars (except maybe bring snow chains with them).

you'd likely want different fluids like in the radiator, wipers & oil.
