Again, will RUIN your paint and looks ugly.

CLEAR BRA YES

Don't do it! You're better off getting black painters tape and covering the front. Seriously. If I'm planning a long road trip, the black or blue painters tape comes out. It's my bootleg version of the clearbra.
watch this on Hondas with their "fragile" paint - a friend did this last year for a trip and when he pulled off the blue tape after 48 hours, it pulled off the clear cost perfectly on 1 strip and left a $250 hood repaint needed.

oh man that's hideous looking! :puke:

I'm sure you got the hint by now.. but I would also say no. :thumbsdow

I'll support you...I like the leather bra, but not Honda's. It's so complicated to put on with about 25 hooks and straps. I'd wait for the Colgan bra which should be out soon. It's an easy install and very tough. I've tried both the clear bra and the Colgan bra on previous cars, and the leather bra is way tougher. When I'm finished, I just throw it in the washing machine and hang it out to dry for the next time.

The problem with no bra is rock chips, which can be touched up with paint. With the clear bra, rocks will "chip" the plastic, but protect the paint. The "chips" can't be fixed unless you replace the entire plastic piece. After time, the front end looks all chipped up...might as well go naked and touch up the chips.

I use the Colgan bra on the highway for long trips and on the track when I run most of my cars. Total protection. On the track, I just put blue tape over the headlights and foglights.

As for looks, I'm fine with it. People seem to not like the look but then will put black vinyl tape on the roof and mirrors. Why not black vinyl on the front end? To each his own.

I emailed Colgan because of this thread asking about a bra for the 2013 Honda Accord Sport 4 door. They replied saying that they hope to have it ready to order by the end of May for those interested.

bad, bad , bad idea. Leaned my lesson back in the 90's with a Prelude. Scuffs paint, dirt gets under it, ruins everything.

Go clear bra, or hood deflector.

Have had clear bras on the last 6 cars: S2000, Infiniti FX, Miata, '11 Accord Sedan, Corvette and '13 Accord Coupe. Pricey yes but I figure its cost as part of the purchase. I usually remove it after 4-5 years when it gets a little beat up and smile at the flawless paint now exposed. The newer Xpel is self healing and should last even longer.

Didn't know there was such a thing as a leather bra. Thought they were all vinyl. :dunno:

Hideous either way.

Clear bra costs as much as it does to repaint the front bumper. Big rock chips will happen no matter if there's a clear bra or not.
