Ok im just looking around but I havent found anything about anyone doing a Tl swap yet (of course were talking about if you have a v6 model).

I have a 06 coupe with navi 6mt
Do you think you can just get the engine and transmission
(I want lsd)and it would work with all of our wiring harness??

or do you think its just a waste of money and time???
i think this would be awesome if we could have a better performance engine and still be OEM ( kinda )

Id like to see wat you guys think????

In order for this to work, you'd have to get the engine, transmission, wiring harness(es), and ECU. By that time, you're talking at least $4K.

have you looked at v6performance.net? They're doing all kinds of stuff from TL cams to 3.5 swaps. I am not sure if I remember seeing a TL swap though.

wrong forum to post this in. Go to v6performance.net. There are a lot of j series engine builds. U could opt for the j37 perhaps?
Both of them are correct. An advise: search there before asking. They are rude replying to questions as they thought all of us has the same knowledge...

What a waste of money.

Sell your car and get what you want.
Maybe modifying his car is what HE wants.

Some like to change up their car, and modify.

Just because it is your opinion that it is a waste of money, does not make it so for the rest of the world.

Now, please kindly exit this thread, and let the people who enjoy working/modifying on cars do their thing.

So, Opinions are welcome, as long as they agree with the Majority? :paranoid:

Do you work for Pelosi? :dunno::lmao:

He was referring to how you comment was not even constructive. OP said that is what he wanted to do not should he do it.

Sorry.

I thought when he stated in the original post
"or do you think its just a waste of money and time?" that opinions were welcome.

Guess I need new glasses.

I'm pretty sure that's in reference to the potential difficulty of the swap. It's like asking if I should spend $5k to put a K24 in a 90-93 Accord (which requires custom mounts, harness, axles, exhaust, etc), when a $2k H22 drops right in and only needs 4 wires added to the harness.

Actually guys I do like the modifications. I have a 94 integra that I built from scratch and now its my race car that made 525whp with gt35r turbo( did take me over a year to build)... I see it more as a hobby and love towards your car:thumbsup:

But everyone has different thoughts. I mean i bought Accord brand new and it was ment to be a daily driver and only that. I have my integra to race if I want to but my daily has to look good still but have that power youd like to feel and with a tL-s swap i think i would be happier than ever and still have my Accord.

also my car had 30 miles when i bought it in jan2006 and I already have 77615 miles. so this thread was just a thought and Id actually would like to do this someday $4k aint sh*t compared to what you would spend on a real racecar built top to bottom well over $20k at least

I pointed him to v6p bc the majority of people here wouldn't have that kind of knowledge. I mean come on, the "biggest mod" i've seen on DA is a cold air intake :lmao:

That is an ugly car. The rims and S/C are nice though:thmsup:
How is it ugly? He has the OEM HFP lip kit. I think the only reason you would say it's ugly is bc of the carbon fiber hood. :dunno:

If you want to do it, then by all means go ahead. for that kind of money however, you could go forced induction and make a LOT more power.

Just consider the amount of value you're getting for your money. It would be a good modification if you want to up the power of your car even more, ot the 350+ hp mark, J35A8 would be agood foundation
