I picked up some Accord Sport wheels from a salvage yard and noticed they have a grey inset. Looking at pictures, it appears some Accord Sport wheels have a dark charcoal inset and others have a grey inset. Can anyone verify this? I noticed that one Honda part # is 42700-T2A-A82 (Hayes Lemmerz) and the other is 42700-T2A-A83 (Enkei). Does anyone know the difference? Do they have the same finish but are from different manufacturers? Any insight would be appreciated. This is where I got the two part #s from:

Yes, there are two different Sport wheels. There was a LONG thread on this about 6 months ago. The original poster was kind enough to provide detailed photos, part numbers, and to state the differences.

That explains the differences in part #s. But why does the Accord Sport wheel on Honda's website look so dark? I see a grey inset available but Honda's website shows the Sport wheel in what appears to be a darker shade of grey? More of a charcoal grey than normal grey?

huh, i had suspicions that my '15 sport wheels we're different than other sport wheels that ive seen, and this confirms it. i havent checked the inside stamp, but i can tell from the finish that i have the wheels made in mexico. bummer because even before knowing that there were different manufacturers, i thought the enkei ones looked better.

My car was a late 2014 build (August). I was really surprised when I took my wheels off to mount m snows that I had the Enkei wheels. I thought for sure Honda had changed all of them to the Hecho en Mexico wheels by then.

Does anyone else know why the Sport wheels in Honda's picture seem to have a darker inset finish? Is it the lighting?
I'm going to say yes with the lighting. If you take a look at the pictures posted on Honda's website it looks more 'dramatic' than real world pictures and i'm sure its for marketing purposes. In real life the sport wheels are not that dark compared to Honda's picture.
