Doesn't seem like there's a direct replacement part for the O-rings. If there is a legitimate leak from the dipstick and what not, then maybe just replace the whole thing.

I glued my dipstick in with silicone since I never have to pull it out between oil changes. I think I got the idea from a how-to I saw by @salcuta88

Oh yeah? Well my car's oil level actually increases as the miles increase. So when I drain the oil I have more oil than what I put in. Put that in your pipe and toke it! :p

^ yeah, i've read a lot of those threads from i4 owners here lately who don't know how to check their oil level. i never get over the "i drained 3.5 qts and it took 4.5 qts to fill it", or the "i drained 4.5 qts and it only took 3.5 qts to fill it" threads......good times.

better than the "my V6 accord needs a new auto transmission" or "my V6 shot a spark plug through the hood" threads :jumping:

Anyone ever replace the two o-rings on the dipstick? There's always a little bit of oil in that crevice and figured new o-rings would fix it. Just don't know where to get them.
Check your local hardware store.

Wow, it only took 20 minutes for this to turn into a silly I-4 vs V-6 oil consumption thread.

BTW, those orings are there to seal the crankcase from unmetered air getting in to the engine and not allowing crankcase vapors to escape into the atmosphere. Of they are bad it will throw off the air fuel mixture, basically a vacuum leak.

I wouldn't describe it as an oil leak. More of a oily dirt covering. There's just always a bunch of black dirt around the dipstick hole. I cleaned it up really purdy like when I did the valve cover gasket and a couple days later the black dirt was back. I'm sure it's just crankcase pressure pushing out some oiliness.

I get that too. I don't care

I'd just get a new dipstick if you're that OCD. Maybe upgrade to the V6 dipstick
