My wife has a RDX and has a small led in the middle to light up the shifter at night. I figured I could add an led in the same place to mine. After taking the switch apart I notice a small bulb in the powerwindow switch bit it looks like the wires are missingfrom the harness. I have a 2011 coupe. Does anybodys sunroof switch light up at night? Did Honda do this on purpose to save money?

I have a '11 ex-l coupe and mine doesn't light up. I would like to swap out that console...I'm assuming it would be plug and play. Has anyone done this? I wonder how much it costs...

Thanks for looking guys. I just looked again and ohmed out the light to the connector and guess what I found? No freakin wires in the connector! I am going to order a switch from an 09 and take power from the home link connector (has illimination wires in the connector) what else did they cut out

yes i do have same light on 2009 coupe ,Blue dot all the time ,just like on picture!!!

2011 Coupe EX no light up switch or map light :( Maybe I will look into changing it, but it really hasn't bothered me.

yup my 08 sedan has the same light ****s honda is cutting corners on something so simple

2008-09 EX-L have the following that they removed for 2010-11:

- Overhead LED center console illumination

- Glovebox light

- 4 cylinder engine cover and hood and trunk lid liners

- Center console tray inside arm rest

It's not the end of the world, and 98% of people probably wouldn't notice or care. Just those of us who are enthusiasts and pay close attention to Hondas and every change they make on every model year.

But it is definitely a cost cutting/profit margin increase measure. The sticker price of the car certainly didn't go down for 2010.

the 4cyl accords never had the trunk liners, thats a v6 only thing. same thing with the panels that go on the bottom of the dash. im buying both and its about $100 for the trunk liner with 13 clips and both sides of the under dash covers.

My 4 cyl. ex coupe has the trunk lid liner and a V6 rear bumper with a knockout installed where the tailpipe would be. No light on the sunroof switch but I think that would only annoy me at night.

I never noticed if the glovebox light missing or not.

My 08 4cyl coupe has the light in the sunroof switch, the glove box and that lil blue light. I thought that blue light was for bluetooth or something.

on the college hills site they have a kit for the trunk liner.

Add the V6 insulator to finish off the trunk lid on your 4cyl Accord. You can easily install this in a matter of minutes. Kit includes insulator, handle, and 13 push clips.
maybe its a canada thing on all trims?

Yes my 2011 EX (Canadian Model) comes with the trunk insulator... Thinking about getting the hood and engine cover for my car though... Would be nice to have those two items... especially in this country.
