I'm looking to replace my 08 Accord EX-L 4 serpentine belt. Are the Three terms, Serpentine, Drive, and Power Steering Pump Belt the same? SM uses Drive Belt. Parts places use Power Steering Pump Belt.

Is Bando 7PK1835 Poly-V Serpentine Belt at Amazon good for a replacement? It's $18 compare to OEM $40.
Genuine Honda 56992-R40-A01 Power Steering Pump Belt $32.75 + $5.94 shipping

I have a short squeak and clunk in every cold morning start, which sounds like a slippage.

Thanks.

yep they are all the same. the one serpentine belt drives all of those components. i put a bando belt on mine 2 years ago, still going strong.

you mention a short squeak and clunk though, i would say do some more browsing on the forum for "VTC actuator noise". it could be that instead of the belt... of course, unless you're certain that it is the belt. but better to address both possibilities so you're not taking your car apart again in 4 months, ya know?

In our case, yes. Our accords only have one accessory belt(BOOM! Now you have a fourth term!), so they cover the A/C, power steering, and the alternator.

I'm running some random duralast belt, works fine for my power steering bypass. :smile

Gatorback aka Continental Elite is my preferred belt brand. I've tried Gates and Bando but Gatorback seemed to be the best at not wearing and keeping things quiet.

Thank you all. I ordered the Bando $18 one. I wanted to replace the belt this weekend before the temperature starts to dip into the 20's. Hopefully, I'll get it in two days.

Bando is OEM, the very same belt sold in the aftermarket as installed at the factory. When Continental bought out Goodyears belt division, mfg. was moved to Mexico. They claim they are using the same design that was used for the Gatorback. I just installed my last Gatorback, it was the longest lasting belt I had ever used.
