yeaa driving style.. be easy on the pedal and it will stay constant..

haha i like to conserve my gas.. hah

If you are mechanically inclines, remove the LED that lights it up! Not sure if it would have any adverse effects (shouldn't), but that would be the way to remove it...I do find it stupid Honda put a light on there for that...it probably so people can actually see them getting their monies worth, even though they'll see it at the pump (or should)!

i ddidnt know our cars had an eco mode? if so how would he turn it on?

I think its weird that there are 3 settings, and only one is indicated. I wish it would show 3/4/6 cyl. I agree though, I now pay more attention to how many cylinders I'm on than RPM and gear. I hate when it comes on and goes off and comes on and goes off. It's because I live in a hilly area and try to maintain constant speed, thus I do pedal play.

my god. it's so annoying I prob pay more attention to that green "ECO" light more than watching speedo meter. is there any way to perm turn it off or just stay on forever?
yeah it is a little annoying...when i first got my v6 sedan all i could do is look at that stupid light. i guess i just got use to blocking it out now...

The car automatically goes into ECO when it feels that it's on a straight road and the driver is stepping very light on the gas pedal, maybe around 2000rpm.

You can still go into ECO mode going up hill but you'll be driving at around 35 - 40 km/h.

The ECO light will still turn on at higher speed as long as you keep your rpm steady.

The ECO light NEVER comes on when you go from a full stop until 3rd gear. This is the part that consumes a lot of gas I think, that's why city driving's L/100km (mpg in the US) is higher than highway.

Anyone ever figure out how to disable just the ECO light, short of taking the dash apart? 10 years later and every time I go on a road trip I remember how annoying and distracting this can be. In my opinion the gauge cluster should be for alerting you of problems with the car, and that light going on and off occasionally in my periphery always makes me second guess what's happening. If I want to know how economically I'm driving I'll watch the meter on the trip computer.

Purchase and install a product like VCMuzzler II, which will disable the ECO light and also prevent VCM from activating.

The way I look at it is, you could go 3 ways. Obviously, the best thing you could do for your vehicle is buy a VCM disabling device. I recommend S-VCM.
If the idea of disabling the VCM has not become a necessity to you. Then a simple trick to hide the light like this, could work for a time.

The only other thing I would know to do is....

For a certainty, a more permanent solution.
