Will swapping out an Ex- to Ex-l w/navi screen radio be possible?? Or does not having the dual climate controls hurt the process?? :dunno:

I've seen some post but most of which applied to an Lx-p to Lx-s swap.

Not easily. It's not like the wiring is back there waiting for a swap. May not be worth it, and you could get a better deal on an aftermarket one.

nothing is too difficult if you take the time to prep and read up.

having said so, it still makes more sense to go aftermarket if you're thinking of swapping out the radio. It'll be cheaper than getting OEM. Plus, OEm nav's software is wonky, should stay away.

The amount of wiring, extra computers and etc is not worth the investment. Get yourself an indash unit and call it a day. The OEM Navigation system is not just a navigation system, its connected to your speedometer which measures AVG MPG and how long you got till you run out of fuel and many other things. You can get a nice Kenwood unit with garmin GPS interface built in at a fraction of the cost and hassle.

I have the Honda OEM GPS and I concur, although nice, you can do a LOT better with a aftermarket one. For the amount of $$$$ you would spend to upgrade to OEM, you can have a aftermarket one that is a LOT prettier, does a lot more and probably costs less to upgrade the maps as well.

Soundstream will be releasing a direct add on Head deck called ingenix soon in the middle of the year that replaces the poopy LX screen with touchscreen BT Navi AM FM CD USB and a few other tricks, and OEM Style radio etc.. go and read up on it it looks very very promising ( Much better than the Motevo, and its produced by a company that not only has a name you'll recognize( SOUNDSTREAM) but a company that isn't in Japan that you have to call and order from or get tech support from either.. they are based in Montebello California.... :)

I wonder if it will also include diagnostics and work with EX-L non-navi as I do like the dual climate controls and layout. Maybe they'll think about a Blu Ray option as DVD is kinda old now.

dont know if theres a big difference or any at all between 08-10 navs and 2011s, but i love my navi. i had an aftermarket nav in my 08 but my oem crushes that one by far. the only thing my old one has on the new one is that it played dvds. but i have a RES now, (for my lil 1 ) so everything else goes to oem hands down.
