So I was in a rental car from July 1st to the 27th. But last Saturday I took delivery from Sonic Motorsports of my 2013 Accord. I had air bag suspension put in the car as well as had my Velgen VMB5's powder coated.

Now I'll admit the powdercoat came out a bit too royal for me. I'm actually having it re-done in a darker navy. Similar to the color of the engine cover pictured below.

We did run into some problems in terms of the front wheel fitment. The Velgens wheels I have are 20x10.5 all the way around with a +45 offset in the front and a +25 offset in the rear. The 10.5" wide tires fit fine with just D2 coilovers, as you saw on @Stancedsport's Accord. These are actually those same wheels, I bought them when he sold them.

BUT the issue I ran into is, the air bag setup has a wider circumference than just the coilover so the 10.5" rim is hitting the airbag in the front when it aires out. I have ordered 2 more 20x9 VMB5's from the great people at Velgen. It was my own mistake in selling the staggered set to begin with, but lesson learned. Plus if I ever decide to add fender flares I'll have the other 2 10.5" Velgens to put on.

Once the front wheels are fitted correctly the car will be able to sit lower. I've also got some VIP Modular rims being made but I won't give any details until I have the rims, haha. A 3 piece wheel is going to look so nice on the Accord. VIP already did one 2013 earlier this year and it looked amazing.

Sonic Motorsports in Milpitas, CA went above and beyond my expectations. I was expecting my trunk to be the same. They added HARDWOOD FLOORING and a custom painted air tank with a Galaxy theme. I was blown away when I saw that at Wekfest.

Here's a list of the setup:
Accuair E-level Air Management Package w/Touchpad
Dual 400cc Compressors
Accuair EXO2 (Dual Compressor) Mounts
Accuair Power Supply Kit
Air Bags/Brackets
Custom Mounting Brackets for 2013 Honda Accord Touring
UAS Aero Sport Airbags
D2 Racing Struts
SPC 3 Arm Camber Kit

Whats tire specs are you running on the 20x10.5s?

How much camber were you running on coils to fit the 20x10.5s up front and rear?

Car looks great by the way, love the gloss wood in the trunk!

What's the best way to detail his trunk, glen? Old English? Minwax? Pledge?

The tires are 245/35, so they're got a bit of stretch and poke haha
I didn't actually have the 10.5's on up front with coils before the bags. I received the wheels from Stancedsport, dropped it off the next day. He would be able to answer that question in regards to from camber.

Dub, this car has to be the most $$$$ spent on any accord...over the last year....ever....congrats!!!!

Love the flooring.....
Appreciate it man. I was absolutely blown away when I saw that. My buddy at the shop wasn't sending me any pics so I was anxious to see the car. When he popped that trunk, damn. It was a nice surprise. So far I've just got a microfiber in my car to wipe finger prints lol.

Break out the swiffer!

:lmao:

Dam bro shit came out too dope. Congrats on everything. I still think the 10.5 up front would of fit with some spacers and about -3 degree camber. Stretch the shit out of the tires like my new setup and poke the rear out more. Have the fender sit in between the barrel and the tire. I need to follow in your foot steps and bag my shot already lol

My wife wants hardwood floors in our bedrooms - she would be pissed if I actually had it in my trunk! LOL

You have done a lot - Kudos to you!

I think with the OEM lip kit, this would be perfect. The wheels like you said are a bit too royal and more navy would be just right!! I love your car cant wait till i really start dumping cash into mine!

Thanks man. I'm going to hang onto the other 2 rims so if we figure a way to get em under we'll do that. Might look into some fender flares down the road. But for now I'm looking to tuck the wheels when I air out.

Thanks man, haha yeah this floor is nicer than the flooring in my old SF apartment haha.

The one thing that's holding me back on the ground effects kit is the fact that the front and rear is 2 pieces each. I don't like how you bolt on one side and then the other. I would prefer one piece that goes across the entire thing, same with the back.

But I've been in talks with my shops about possibly molding the ground effects kit to the car so it's all one piece and not a bolt on.

Without question...............

To each his own for sure................

I agree with you 100% on the lip kit, Honda half assed it for sure. the rear is a joke.

your ride on the on the other hand, is real serious. if a car is an expression of ones self, you must be one blunt, bold mofo!!! lmao!!! looks dope Bro

Good job dubstepslap, I'm not into the whole bagged thing, but looks like your setup is cleanly executed and well thought out. Good job.

Great color combination with he wheels as well, toned down a tad will look great!

Im thinking of maxing out the size on my wheels, I was thinking about 20x10 or 10.5 all arounds. What do you recommend man? I dont plan on going too low or anything just a nice simple drop. I just dont wanna do major fender work or run crazy camber.

much appreciated man
I've been turning some heads with those blue wheels, but I'll be re-powdercoating a darker navy blue. Bit too royal for me haha.
Hopefully a company comes out with a single piece kit for the front and rear. That would be ideal.

I've seen a couple of pics of your car on IG @ wekfest..really clean! I was wondering who's car it was, now I know! Props dubstepslap!
thanks man
I'm still juiced I was lucky enough to get in the show.
So many amazing cars, Sonic did a lot of work to get up to Wekfest caliber lol.

thanks man, appreciate the kind words.
Definitely need the wheels darkened, then it'll be where I want lol

I ran into some issues with the 10.5" rims in the front with the air suspension
but if you're just going to be running a modest drop from coilovers then a 10.5" rim will fit. 10" would have a bit more room, might go that route to be safe haha.
You'll need some fender work anyways with 10 or 10.5" rims but it won't be too severe and it just depends on how low you go for the camber. If it's not that much, it won't camber the wheels too hard.
But you can always look into the SPC 3 Arm Camber Kit from Throwdown Performance that I bought. It's only for the rear but having the adjustability is nice.

yeah once I get the 20x9 Velgens, it'll sit much lower! It does look like a standard lowered car now but it'll only be for another week maybe two. But the fun part is when I turn on the car and it automatically goes to setting 2 from 1. Always turning heads!

Sick, love the way it turned out!

The galaxy print on the tank is an awesome touch, especially with when you throw the foams in the pic:thmsup:
