anyone have experience with something to fill them here? Next thing on the list is pull that off and find some kind of plug.

anyone putting cameras in there?

You shouldn't have front plate holes - the plate holder mounts from underneath and doesn't require dilling the bumper. You can get plastic plugs and paint them to match.

I wish my holder was non destructive. My damn dealer put a plastic plate mount on the front and drilled it right into the bumper. I planned on removing the front plate but when I removed the plate and then the plate mount I nearly croaked when I saw the hatchet job they did.

You should complain and make them fix it! If they wont do it then call American Honda and complain. They should make the dealer repair it. Thats BS.

Co-signed. I refuse to buy a car that has holes in the front bumper from the dealer being a bunch of drill-happy asshats. Pisses me off to no end, and it's completely unnecessary.

ok if someone has a sec, hit this link, my cars the first pic. looks like its drilled through to me....

looks to me like you have the normal black platsic front license plate holder. It clips on lower grill. Its super easy to take off and should leave no trace of it ever being there. Its an optional thing to install or take off. Some states require cars to have a front license plate also.

May not be. The holder is designed with enough depth so that the screws only go up to the bumper but not through. You may see two small indents in the paint, but no actual hole. Unless the dealer used some extra long screws..........
Mine had a plate and holder but when removed, not a mark. All this in the name of advertising - dealer uses your front bumper as a billboard. Should be outlawed!

Only way to tell is to actually pull the plate away from the bumper a bit at the top. If it's drilled you'll know real fast.

Just because the dealer advertisement plate is screwed to the plate does not necessarily mean that the bumper itself is drilled--there are actually different screws and holes under the dealer ad plate if it's drilled to the bumper.

I hope for your sake it's not drilled. To me it's the medical equivalent of malpractice.

Like I mentioned, there's actually different holes in the plate holder to accommodate screws to go through the bumper.

I See Black Trim Around It So Im Assuming Someone In This Case From That Link May Have Done It Right... I Told My Dealer When I Picked Up My Car The The License Plate Frame For The Front Of My Car Has A Parmanant Home In My Spare Tire Well, And If They Put It On, They'd Basically Lose The Sale Cause I Dont Care To Advertise Their Dealership For Them If Im Not Getting A Majot Price Break... Basically Take A Flying Promotional Leap In The Marketing Lake!@ Lol

Before I took delivery I told my salesperson I wanted 2 things:

1. No dealer stickers or ads attached to the vehicle. I told them the rear license plate frame was fine. I wanted them to feel good as I knew it would be taken off the moment I got home. As it turns out they couldn't attach their frame and my FOP emblem at the same time.

2. The front license plate bracket had to be removed and the bumper had to be free of any extra hole.

When I got to the dealer the salesperson told me there was an extra hole in the bumper and it was supposed to be there. I told them there was no way Honda would ask a dealer to drill a hole in the front bumper and they needed to replace the bumper or I wasn't buying.

If you look on the diagram supplied by Honda to the dealer on how the bracket is supposed to be attached to the car there is a HUGE red X on the top center of the bracket. These "techs" have been drilling an extra screw into the bumper to tighten down the bracket. WRONG! I made them get me a new front bumper. It took a week but they did it.

Moral of the story. There absolutely should NOT be a hole drilled in the front bumper. Call American Honda and complain, they owe you a new bumper.

Yep, the first dealership I went to, they drilled holes on the front plate. I told them they need to replace the bumper, or no sale. They lied to me and said "Oh no sir, all Accords came that way." I walked out. Went to another dealership, lo' and behold, they mounted the plate properly. When Honda of America did a follow up call a few days later, I let them hear all about my experience at the first dealership. Having their shitty technician drilling holes on the bumper is one thing, lying to me is another.

Check out post 43 from this link. It shows the service bulletin from Honda. The dealers must think the red X means drill here!

I have a hole in my bumper. It pisses me off. I removed my front plate anyways, even though we're supposed to have a front plate in CT, oh well.

There shouldn't be a hole there. It doesn't look horrible because I have the black coupe so it's not too noticable, but that doesn't make it right.

Does Honda just send a new bumper? Do they cover the repair and all? Does anyone know the (w)hole process?

The dealer who installed the plate is responsible to fix that. The problem is the dealer installed the license plate holder wrong. You call American Honda if the dealer refuses to fix the problem.

It's pretty easy to tell if they installed it correctly. If you pull at the top of the holder it should come away from the bumper a bit since it's not drilled in.

I didn't take any chances, I told my dealer upfront that I didn't want *anything* on the car. Of course, they put everything on there anyways, but then I made them take it all right back off. Luckily they knew how to install the front bracket without drilling.

Read my post starting at #43.

I have attached the service bulletin. I added the red arrow and x to illustrate the F-UP!! And the original (PDF) directly obtained from Honda Customer Relations.

You will see that the A%#*%! at the dealership installed your plate holder wrong and damaged YOUR car.

They DID IT WRONG!!!!!

Call Honda and complain! Talk to your dealers Service Manager an make them put a new bumper on your car! You can't fill them. You must put a new bumper cover on. Also, if it is not required to be on the car then what is their excuse and besides that, what if you move to another state where it's not required?

Simply don't put up with this shit! I had a new bumper put on the car!

I hate front license plates! Argh!!!

I might try my luck with the Texas law and remove the front license plate when I get my new coupe today. It really ruins the visual integrity of the car!
