I want to sniff the GA-NET bus and was thinking the location where the XM module is mounted would be a good spot, is the wiring harness still present or do they remove them for cost savings?
Alternatively, does anyone know of a good place to tap into the GA-NET bus? I would rather tap into an unused connector than splice a wire. From what I read, "Connector E" on the back of the headunit should be unconnected as there is no XM radio, but my car (EX) has the 6-CD changer and it might be used by that.
The main goal I'm trying to achieve is monitor the steering wheel audio control buttons to write some software to change songs on my phone. I've been looking at some of the wiring diagrams to figure this out but was wondering if anyone out there had any advice.
