Okay, so I recently purchased a 2004 coupe v6 auto. I drive in a condensed town area in Florida. I have been using the a/c in the car about half the time I drive. Almost all my trips are extremely short, say 1, 2, 3, or 4 miles max. With my 17 gallon tank I'm only getting only about 260-270 miles before I am completely on empty. I have inquired about it last time i went to the dealer and they said they couldn't really see anything wrong.

Can anyone tell me what's going on!??? :paranoid::dunno:

There is nothing wrong with your Accord. Short city driving with moderate AC use (stop and go driving) will result in the mileage you are experiencing, especially if you are quick on the gas. I experienced similar MPG when I had a 5 mile drive to work.

Get it out on the open highway for some distance driving and you will average 25-30 MPG.

With a V6??? I don't even get 240 miles to a tank EVER.
Did the tanks get smaller from 04 to 07?

IIRC 17.1 fuel tank capacity across the board for the 7th Gen.........

Routinely in mixed driving around the capital calcs 26-27; but on I-5 it's another ball game (top two gears are overdrives). Broke 40 twice since new.

Yeah, performance and economy is tough to beat.

Season's best, ez....

remember to take into consideration the amount of times you turn on and off your car.

I asked one reputable mechanic about any normal fuel consumption rates during warm up time to compare for my car and he said there is none specified (not only for my car - for any car).
That's mean if your car travels in "warm-up" cycle then your gas-mileage is not even specified by manufacturer and may be very bad.
So please accept this fact as a given.

Not that its any help but, where I live its constant stopping and going and I aslo get less than great results around town. But in the highway is a different story, like hillstones mentioned is where and how you are driving it that varies gas milage.
