I just got my 2023 honda accord hybrid touring last week. I noticed today the my google assistant, google map is not connecting with the google. The reason i found that they are not connecting with internet although my carplay is connected. I also found when i am connecting the car with my phone’s hotspot, then the google assistant, map connecting with google as i can see that they are able to use internet service. But once i connect it with carplay, then it’s gone, google assistant, map none of them are connecting with internet. So, why it’s happening? Anyone knows?

thanks.

Try holding the Home button for 5 seconds and rebooting the system. If that doesn't work, do a factory reset and reconnect your phone with Car Play.
I did the factory reset. Still not working. It’s working like a offline system.

I restarted the phone as well. Is there any issue with the connection in the car?
It works flawlessly with my iphone 11 in my Accord Touring. Not sure why Car Play can't connect to the internet. It might be a setting on your phone,

I Googled the problem,

I did this exactly yesterday. Connect my phone with the usb and then the system was working. As it’s connecting with usb, not the carplay, the system is able to use the hotspot and map, google service getting internet connection. Again, if i remove the usb and connect through wireless, it’s not working again. Do you use Apple carplay also to connect wireless?

Yes I do, but wireless Apple Car Play is not available on all Accords, only the Hybrids, which you have. Maybe you need to bring it to the Dealer.

I noticed this too. Not with maps but with YouTube music app from the play store. Maps and Audible work fine but YouTube music won’t connect when I am connected wirelessly with Apple CarPlay

Really? What is it about having a hybrid drivetrain that makes us able to get wireless carplay. I hate these trim games that manufacturers play.

I have a question. I got an email saying my atnt subscription ended, now my maps don’t work. Like everything is offline? Does that mean Google only works with that subscription? Any help would be ideal.

That info from Honda is very, misleading, IMHO. There is no need to get an ATT data plan for Google built in UNTIL the 3yr free period is up. After that, a data plan is needed for Google built in.
