So, I have seen most people having 2008 accord coupe compared to `09. One reason could be 09 is still way left.. but, personal opinion which of the two coupes did u like better ??

They are the same car except the 08 cost less.

08 and 09 are the same :dunno:

And the differences are?

There are plenty of differences between the 08-09, none you will see though. The 08 MY was the first for the 8th gen, and as will most new models there are bound to be some quirks that Honda fixes for the 09 model year to get it better. IMO I would never buy the first year of any full model change over.

Except all of the things owners complained about with the '08s like early rear brake wear, dimming headlights on the I4 (which Honda will not change), misaligned glove box, various squeaks and rattles, no iPod/USB adapter, etc. are still present in the '09s.

2009 > 2008

There are no noticeable differences between the 08 and 09.. and a lot of the same bugs still remain unfortunately.

Since I totalled my 08 accord coupe in the last quarter or 2008, I ended up getting the 09 to replace it. Therefore I am probably one of the few to have owned both.. lol. The only difference I experienced was that the 2009 seemed to have a smoother clutch system, but for all I know it could be the same..

the real nuts was the 2006 Accord model of the 7th gen which knocked out all the mechanical bugs that preceded in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 models especially the V6 tranny issue plus added +4 hp as well as added LEDs rear tail lights *and* made VSA standard on all V6 trims! This was a monster difference between 2005 and 2006 Accords and many in Honda nation refer to this as the 7.5 generation when in fact it was just an MMC and still technically a 7th gen. I invariably snagged a 2006 V6 model simply for the dual chrome pipes alone! (get otta here, dual chromes on an Accord, I still don't believe it!) The squeaks and rattles have since fell on deaf ears, dissipated or have disappeared or all of the above! Enjoying the natural honda mods! look mah, no roids! ohh and i saw an advertisement in today's sports section for like a dozen 2006 models for sale so no shortage for me to pick from! but alas, no sense in owning more then one honda since it's legendary reliability is what this bee is trying to pollinate.

i thought the 08 coupes didnt have the projector headlamps, am i wrong?

a few more horses on the 09 is all i'm aware of as the difference between the two models.

The car itself didn't get any performance increase, it was just discovered that it was underrated when the vehicle was launched so they're advertising the new rating now.

I agree with never buying a first year...I've had nothing but problems that all seem to get fixed with TSB's after a first year has been out for a while.

The black plastic in the center console where the cup-holders, shifter, and e-brake sit has a metallic finish to it in my '09 coupe. My '08 sedan had had a matte-black finish to it. Is that a difference between the sedan and coupe or '08 and '09?

I've got the '08, and the only problem I have is the rattling on the rear deck where the speakers and subwoofer are. It doesn't really bother me, but I'm too lazy to fix it, and I don't know how.

Other than that, there shouldn't be any differences. I use the trunk-release box thing on the trunk lid to pull the trunk closed, so no handle is needed.
