Anyway to make the 2014 honk when I press the lock button once? Or do I must press it twice?
Thanks
Thanks
This is news to me.I don't think, that's why it beeps instead.
Hmmm. Well I remember the 2013 touring I drove beeped too. Maybe the smart key models beep? This is news to me.
Wonder if it's specific to Canada, 2015, or the higher trim level?
Did your exl ever honk the horn? What trim? I thought it was a setting. I turned off honk/beep on lock immediately on getting access to the iMid.
Maybe it's beep on the upper trims and honk on the lower trims?
Correct. Smart Key models beep, regular key models honk. What trim? I thought it was a setting. I turned off honk/beep on lock immediately on getting access to the iMid.

That makes sense. Does it beep on the first push? Now I'm wondering if there's a way to rig up the lower trim levels to beep on the first push and honk on the second.Correct. Smart Key models beep, regular key models honk.
In order for regular key models to honk, push the LOCK button twice.
No, you don't have the sound box or whatever it's called in the left rear of the vehicle to make the beep sound if you don't have Smart Entry. This was discussed somewhere on this forum last year, I remember seeing it when we both had our first 9ths. :banana:That makes sense. Does it beep on the first push? I figured not, but maybe there's a way to add it and play with the wiring? Maybe I'll see if I can dig up that thread. No, you don't have the sound box or whatever it's called in the left rear of the vehicle to make the beep sound if you don't have Smart Entry. HAHAHA that's funny! I may be selling the Accord soon, if we end up moving to Chicago as planned next year. Our Fusion is 16 payments from paid off, and we only need one car.:yes:By the way, I still blame you for egging me on to buy the Sport. Not that I'm complaining...
Then this is where we differ. I'm still on the 15 year plan for this car!HAHAHA that's funny! I may be selling the Accord soon, if we end up moving to Chicago as planned next year. Our Fusion is 16 payments from paid off, and we only need one car.
Sell Fusion, keep accord. You will be $$$ ahead.HAHAHA that's funny! I may be selling the Accord soon, if we end up moving to Chicago as planned next year. Our Fusion is 16 payments from paid off, and we only need one car.

You tune it out after a while, just like the jets I hear flying out of RDU when the wind is blowing a certain direction.Vehicles that honk when the door locks annoys me. It would kill me if I lived in an apartment by the parking lot and would hear the honk from doors being locked all the time lol. A beep just seems more refined and not obnoxious.
You're not alone. I like it too. I just wish Honda would put regular sounding horns so it at least sounds good when you lock itI must be the special one that only likes the honk upon locking. :dunno:
