My cars blink codes read
1. "Internal Failure of the SRS computer" in 2 separate blink codes, i think 8-1 and 6-3
2. Passenger control module circuit open/low voltage

Will sending the computer to a factory for them to clear the code fix the 2 internal failures?

How would i fix the passenger control module?
It was serviced by Honda (for the inflator recall) but i don't know if they were the ones that broke it because i never read the codes before they serviced it

Don't attempt to DIY. Leave that to those who know what they're doing. Seriously.

When was the airbag recall job? If the codes showed up right after service, you know what to do.

Is your passenger seat original? The 81-63 SRS code seems pointing to passenger seat weight sensor unit.

Could it be a failed seat belt buckle? If the sensor in the buckle fails you'd see the SRS warning LED on the dash, but I don't know what error codes you'd get for a bad buckle.

When the driver's side buckle failed in my '00 Accord and I got the SRS warning LED, the dealer replaced the buckle for free (parts and labor) under Honda's lifetime warranty.

Honda subsequently changed the terms of that seat belt buckle warranty so check to see if the '03 MY came with the same lifetime warranty, assuming this isn't a problem related to the airbag recall work that was done.

EDIT: Forgot to say the buckle got replaced in ~2010, so ~10 years from original purchase date.

You would go about this by taking the car to a dealer and having them do it.

Seriously. Like slimm1469 said, this is not a DIY job.

You have to take it to a dealer for them to check the seat belt buckle as Ronch suggested, so have them do the entire job while it's there. You have an '03 so it probably does have a lifetime warranty on the seatbelt stuff. My 07 seat belts did not have a lifetime warranty.

My seatbelts aren't the problem, I've checked them

I got a replacement and tried both sides, both didn't work and kept throwing up the same 3 codes

I can have them check the passenger control circuit since it's the one they worked on but an SRS computer replacement costs more than the car itself and isn't worth it. I don't know if Honda just clears the SRS computer of crash data

Can I go to another shop to get these codes cleared or have the passenger circuit inspected? Because i don't exactly want to pay 1500 for Honda to inspect the airbag system.

The airbag light was on prior, but since there's 3 codes and not just 1, i don't know if all 3 codes were up before the job or just 1

The passenger seat is original. Those 2 codes refer to crash data stored in the SRS computer

I wasn't planning on touching the passenger control module but since i have easy access to the SRS computer i figured I could at least remove that computer and send it to have it cleared

I would at least get a proper scanner to read the codes, and clear the codes first (to see if they come back or not), before going deeper.
According to the shop manual, DTC 81-63 is about passenger seat weight sensor unit. Most SRS repairs require disconnecting the battery and wait for 3 minutes, that's it.

I just realized i mixed the codes up. It was 8-3 and 6-1, both of which are still "internal failure of the SRS computer"

I do that whenever I'm doing any electrical work regardless, even if it's just a sensor or something.

You can't clear SRS codes with a scanner. You have to go to Honda for them to check it which they'll just recommend you replace the module rather than resetting it because they get more money that way.

Honda dealers make little to no money off auto sales so they jack up prices and try to get you to spend more money at the service station. They tried charging me $185 for the oil pump tensioner (just the part because I'm changing the pump and need a new one, i got one off eBay, a Honda genuine one, for 60$)

I'm trying to find a shop that has the scanner that can clear SRS codes right now, 2 of my friends work at 2 different shops and I'm waiting on their responses.

I know this will clear the 8-3 and 6-1 codes but the 12-2 (passenger module) i don't think will.

I know one of the vendors on this site is a service that can reset SRS modules. Maybe they can help you?

There is a manual procedure to reset SRS code, which involves jumping SRS connector.

I used to have Foxwell NT630 (cost about $120), not only it can reset SRS/ABS codes on Hondas, but also can control the ABS pump for brake bleeding. I'll be surprised that a shop doesn't have a scanner better than Foxwell NT630.

BTW, none of the codes reported are in the shop manual. They are all 4 digits, in the form of 11-22.

They are blink codes, that's why. Blink codes come in long flashes for the first number and short flashes for the second. 8 long flashes and 1 short flash is code 8-1
