They seem to have some type of alignment issue on the front tires. Every Honda I see my year 08-12 seem to have outside wear on the front tires.

I got new tires and an alignment on the back less than 6 months ago but now the front is already gone.
I’m guessing this is a known issue?

Can’t say I ever remember the outsides of my fronts wearing aggressively on my 2012 coupe. It was pretty gentle on tires, to be honest.

How long have you owned your car?

Nope. Both of mine do not have any kind of front tire wear issues, stock or modified. A bit of camber wear on the rear, but doesn't really affect tire life. I can get 40-70k miles out of a set of tires.

I suspect it's less of a Honda issue and more of a skill issue. For whatever reason a lot of alignment shops suck at aligning Hondas (or just in general...), I had issues with my 7th gen never staying aligned properly until I took it to a dealer and now it's driven perfectly straight for years.

Do you get your tires rotated? How often?

I can't say I've noticed it.

I have found that 'shops' are lacking alignment expertise. I plan to visit the dealership, at an added cost I am sure. And I must also prepare myself for the 'up sale' of maintenance.

No abnormal tire wear on the front of my coupe. I’ve never had an alignment either… car has 160k on it currently.
Sorry, but that’s financially irresponsible. Don’t be “penny-wise and pound foolish.” I would not consider that fact a point of pride. An owner should ALWAYS have the alignment checked immediately after new tires are installed. Otherwise you could be spending good money after bad. Also, rotations AND spin balances should be done every 6 to 8K miles and tire pressure should be maintained at the door jamb sticker pressure - always checked when tires are cold - in the shade.

Alignment on the back? Should have been a four wheel alignment…

In my experience in a city with 5 Honda dealerships, none has their own alignment equipment or personnel. They send customers' cars to an indy alignment shop.

No apology necessary, you can keep spending your money on alignments and balancing tires and I’ll keep doing what has severed me well for the last 30 years. Perhaps they don’t maintain the roads where you live? Or perhaps you drink all the kool-aid served up at the local tire shops? Either way… to each their own.

Again, no need to apologize… it’s pretty clear you are too narrow minded to respect the experience of others and resort to name calling and other demeaning comments when someone offers a different opinion. It’s been my experience most others on this site are accepting of others views and don’t result to your tactics when confronted with differing opinions but I digress.
Not narrow minded, but a strong believer in common sense. That’s all it is. To totally disregard common and accepted practices like this is
