Installed OEM fogs... (now with PICS!!)

Got a set of OEM fogs from my wife for my b-day on Saturday and installed them on Sunday. Took about 2 hours. Very straight forward. It was nice that it was all plug and play (there are female receptor plugs taped to wire bundles both in the engine area and under the steering wheel). I thought I'd have to take the front bumper off, but it was not necessary. Although it was not part of the instructions, I found it easier to route (and wire tie) the wire harness in front of the radiator by removing the grill first. Only thing left is to add some yellow bulbs, so I bought some Nokyas from ebay. ;) I'll post some pics after i get the yellow bulbs in...

Don't be afraid to do this mod. You can do it!!!

You bought something for your wife on your bday?? :dunno:

Is your avatar's your wife picture? Then I know why... :D

Hahahahah, everybody is so damn distracted by the chick in the guy's avatar that they can't even read the post straight.
"did you buy the e-bay on the bulbs"
"what did he buy on e-bay again the bulbs or the lights"
"who's birthday is when, and who got what for who"
:lmao:

She is hot!! But not my wife... :boohoo:

The fog lights ARE OEM from handa-accessories.com and were purchased by my wife for my b-day...

The bulbs are Nokya yellows from ebay.

Last night was the first time I got to see them in action. Like all fogs, they fill in(light up) the areas in right in front of the bumper that the main headlights do not cover. Also, these fog lights are very wide - meaning the beam is very wide. The immediate sides to the left and right of the front bumper are very well lit up now. I live in a rural area with little to no street lighting, so the extra lighting on the sides will help with seeing deer and other critters...

What bulbs did you buy from ebay??? Forgive my ignorance are the stock OEM fog lights H3s or H11s? :dunno:

Also my left fog light lense got cracked, where is a cheap place to buy a replacement?? Most places I've looked at have only the full package where you get both foglights plus all the wiring and stuff. I only need a replacement light...or lense for that matter. Thanks in advance!!

I just bought some Nokya H11 yellow bulbs. It's taking forever to get from ebay. :thumbsdow

I got my fog set from www.handa-accessories.com. I don't know if they will sell just one housing. You could always email them and ask.

Otherwise, I found a place that sells the part you want. Looks like it would be $97 (either #1 or #2): https://www.hondapartsdeals.com/hon...series_transmission=5MT&hp_series_slsareacd=KA&hp_system=I&hp_component=XEL2901

I bought the trim thing around the shifter (from them) when I cracked mine replacing my shift knob.

Nope... Stupid ebay seller :thumbsdow claims that the package has been lost by USPS. The delivery confirmation # only states that the postal service received a notification of a package to be picked up. It says nothing else. I'm SOL to this point.... :furious:

That sucks. You should call USPS and ask for yourself since you have the confirmation #. I bought the same bulbs today. Should get them sometime this week.
I wanna make them do all the leg work for now... I'll just keep harassing them with emails...

OK, finally got the fogs today... Dumb ebay seller charged me $9 to send the bulbs in a yellow padded envelope and used $1.49 for first class mail only!!! Scammers.... :thumbsdow I was about to leave them a neutral feedback, but after checking my email, they said they were going to send me another set. We'll see...

Nice. I ordered an oil cap once and they sent me the wrong one. I emailed them and they sent me another wrong one. I emailed again and they finally sent me the right one then about a week later I got 2 more. :D

I ended up selling all the others.

Here are the pics as promised. This was the best my razr could do as my old Sony mavica digi's battery has committed suicide...

No fogs on:

With oem fogs ON:

You can definitely see how it fills the void in front of the bumper and also increase total output.

With yellow Nokya bulbs:

Again, the fog lights increase lighting on the side quite a lot.

A pic of the beams against the garage:

Notice how much wider the fogs are. It will very evident in the folowing pic as well.

I did adjust them lower as I could tell that road signs were being lit up extremely well, the past few nights coming home. Some Camry dude who I was behind and later passed flashed me - probably due to the fogs being a tad high (and because he was jealous on the Accord )
