How much of a Difference in insurance price per year is between the 2Door Coupe and a 4Door Sedan?

I know they always charge higher on sports model.

No difference with my insurance between a coupe or a 4 door. Neither is classified as a "sports car".

Found the following while checking out the Accord. The Accord Sport is one of the top 10 cheapest autos to insure. I assume the LX would be similar, with the EX, EX-L and Touring being slightly more expensive. The V-6 is also probably a slight increase.

The Hybrid is about 15-25% more expensive to insure because of parts availability for the drivetrain and the use of quite a few parts not used on other Accords.

My estimation sedans

male:
age 18-24 = $2600+ CDN
age 25+ = $1300+ CDN

female:
Maybe $200-300 less in each age above.

for coupe it's like $150 more per age above.

Coupes are slightly more to insure. Not enough to sway my decision, but higher nonetheless. Ask your insurance agent.

Depends on insurance company... Some companies only look at engine size, as well as safety and repair costs...
As others have said, just call your insurance agent, they don't need the exact VIN, just year, make, model, trim package.

My insurance company doesn't differentiate between engine choices, only trim level and door count. My EX-L V6 sedan costs no more to insure than an EX-L I4. The coupe would've been another $6 or so per month, hardly any more. What's funny is that a Mustang GT on my policy would only be $4 more per month than the Accord coupe or only $10 more than I pay now. Seems a bit strange that my V6 family sedan costs almost as much to insure as a 2-door sports car with a V8 lol.

Well for my Cdn insurance company, the i4 Sport is actually listed under a different category than the other 3 i4 trims (LX, EX-L and Touring). about 12 dollars more per month.

Bell air considers my sport an lx. 2584$ a year. Was 2999$ just got my renewal and its dropping 415 dollars. 20 year old male in Ontario no tickets.

Jesus that's a fair amount but your young. I'm 28 and have the ex-l v6 coupe and I pay 2000 a year for full coverage in southern Ontario.
