Hey guys, this morning i installed a weapon r intake for my 06 v6 sedan. It took me 8 hours to install it (Im 17 this is my first car cut me some slack). Weapon r instructions are terrible and so it the hose that they want you to use. Also it doesn't fit right when u try to connect the hose from engine to intake. Resonator and original pipes were really hard to take out. It sounds sick though!

I need help though because the pipe/hose that goes into the intake didn't go back far enough to connect it to new intake. Its a hardline but i took it off and put a regular one piece hose from the engine into intake. Is this ok because the hardline pipe was like welded together with another hard line that antifreeze flows through. Look at 3rd pic u can see what im talking about.

Figured i post some pictures of install

looks and sounds good...i should know, i have the same intake. I painted the pipe black, looks ok, i painted it horribly though. I also installed that lil' filter thingy that came with it.

A few questions: for the resonator removal, was it just the 2 bolts? Also, do you get any whistle or whine on yours, I do and I am not sure how tight my seals are. Your tubes and clamps look much cleaner installed.

Well the resonator was a pain to get out it actually took me like 2 hours because i couldn't figure out how to remove the tubes because even if you take out the 2 bolts it doesn't slide out if u have the bumper on. There are some screws that connect to one pipe but u can't unscrew them there not really screws so i actually drilled through them. I don't know if theres a better way, probly if u take the bumper off.

The tubes and the bracket i actually looked at your post before i did mine to see how u did it. That hose thats on the side i took the hardline completely off and just bought a foot long hose to connect the engine to the intake.

I had my bumper off when I attempted taking the resonator off.

I dont follow what you mean there.

I just flipped the intake tube so the and ran the hose that came with the intake from the hard part of the tube to the PCV line. Worked great

Did you try a different filter?

i totally took off the hard part of the line and used one piece of hose. It connects from the engine right into the intake pipe. I basically totally went around the hard line.

Mine whines also around 2000-3000 rpms and then stops. I actually like the sound it sounds good. Feel more power also.

i got a 89 crx when i was 17, haha consider yourself lucky.
congrats on the installlll

In the second picture of the first post, you can see he's trying to get access to the box that looks like the air filter.

You mean the resonator?

yeah i was trying to get out the resonator. You have to take the wheel well cover off to get access to it. Anyway its easier to work jacked up if your tall cause it doesnt hurt ur back as much

As an FYi you should have searched on this forum for DIY instructions before you attempted it.

#1 it's a lot easier to do with your bumper off.
#2 there's no need/reason to take your battery off.

Anyway, you got the job done.

lol I have the Secret Weapon SRI that shit whistle like hell! lmao I'll stick with it til I can get another cone :p

Whistle is pretty quiet tho not annoying

Figured as much.

I'm near the nassau suffolk boarder. If you ever need help send me a pm.
