can anyone give me some advise on what products to use on tan leather interior to keep it clean? I am a police officer and I think my pants color maybe getting onto the leather, or it could be my bluejeans. Any suggestions on how to clean this off? I've had the car a week and already having this problem.

Seems like tan leather is gonna be a real PITA to keep clean!! Why couldn't they make white with black leather :(

I'm in the same boat as you, my friend. I purchased the white thinking the tan interior was easier to keep clean, but its not. I have black marks from my belt and my holster:thumbsdow

I've tried Zymol leather cleaner to no avail. I'm afraid to go to heavy duty; I don't want to dry out/mess up the leather in a 2 month old car! My dad, who has a TW 7th gen with tan interior, put a cover over his. I might do the same, but its a shame to hide that nice leather...

EDIT: I'll have to try the Meguires, Zymol isn't cutting it :(

the mcguires has gotten the blue from denim out of the seats and keeps the leather smelling like new. i wouldnt consider this as anything heavy duty though. what i use is a 2-in-1 cleaner/conditioner but i assume using a seperate cleaner then conditioner would be better.

I take my duty belt off when in the car. My gun will wear a hole in the leather way to fast. I'm not sure if all new honda have it, but I have stain protection for 3 years. They will just clean it off for me. Who wants to be at the dealer all the time for that though. I think I am going to use the mguires. If it can get bluejean stains out it should be able to get the color from my wool duty pants out. Thnx for the advise guys

I've used that (Meguiars) over the years w/ great success!

But, to be entirely honest... the best leather-care product(s) I've ever used on my car leather-interiors has/have been the leather-care kit I got w/ my home leather sofas, no lie!

Here's how I would rate various car-oriented products...

1-step cleaner/conditioner

O.k.: www.eagleone.com
Good: www.turtlewax.com
Better: http://www.meguiars.com/?automotive-leather-care/Gold-Class-Leather-Cleaner-Conditioner
Best: www.leatheronlyproducts.com

2-step cleaner/conditioner

O.k.: www.lexol.com
Good: www.zainostore.com
Better: www.zymol.com
Best: www.leatherique.com

Light leather seats were just like black outside color for me (oh, and a pool): just once, and never again.
I had basically white leather, and on a freaking convertible; talk about a PITA. You can clean them, but it's double work. Rather than leather cleaner/conditioner only, you need a leather cleaner first, then the conditioner/cleaner. Any brand should do it; just buy BOTH. Good luck.

+1 on Leather Only, the best you can get.
My black/light gray seats in the Harley Truck still look new after 6 yrs and 55k miles thans to that stuff

for some reason this ivory leather is harder to keep clean than the leather in my 2001. i keep noticing black areas that look like something rubbed off on them, even on the seat that no one sits in. i tried meguires. the smell about killed me. i like the lexol... the scent is faint and it works really well. i actually only used the conditioner the first time and it cleaned off the black marks very well.

I just cleaned the ivory leather in my Accord and none of the products mentioned in this thread worked with the exception of Woolite. After cleaning the leather with Woolite I conditioned it with Jaguar Hide Food - one of the best leather conditioners know to man.

It can be found here
