I have a 2017 Accord Hybrid Touring with 48,000+ miles.
The running lights (LED) on the left side died two weeks ago.
Two days later the right had running lights died. The the lane line avoider died.
Did anyone else have such a crisis?

Replace under warranty. Note that it will eventually happen again.
The part numbers for the replacement headlight assemblies are different from the original parts indicating something was changed. I haven't heard anyone having issues with the updated parts and personally, mine have been just fine.

Interesting. I stand corrected

Can you provide the part numbers? I love digging into that stuff.

I know people have fixed it by replacing the drl chips but it's a bit involved for people who haven't pulled apart headlights before.

Ah okay, I checked out the thread Miker posted.

All the product numbers increased by 1.
Crazy that they still cost the same and outlets are still selling the old model.

Yeah I think early on people went the DIY route thinking the issue would never be fixed, frankly I was shocked (but happy) that they issued the warranty extension lol.

My guess is that parts outlets either don't know there's an update or they only have excess inventory of the OG part. My dealer replaced both mine at the same time despite only one side failing and they did have to order the parts so I'm wondering if only dealers can get them directly from Honda.

But to the OP, just take it to the dealer. As long as the car isn't salvage they'll replace for free. Unlimited miles but expires after 10 years of original purchase.

I had left LED DRL go out on my '16 EX CVT Coupe last fall. It was replaced under the extended warranty without any hassles. Took ~2 days after dealer placed the order before it came. I only had to wait ~1 hr after the service paperwork was done to get the car back on the road. The new one is brighter than the old one on right (probably not surprising), but it's also a bit more blue than the old one too.

The '17 HAH Touring probably has different headlights because -IIRC- those headlights are also LED, while on my EX, only the DRLs are LED. So these part numbers may not mean much for you, but only the "-A#" changed:

Left original: 33150-T3L-A61
Replacement: 33150-T3L-A62

Before you go in for service, look around on line to find what the latest "-A#" is for your Touring headlights, and ask the dealer if that's what they'll order/install.

So far, my right one looks OK. Sorta hoping it dies in next 2 years before the extended warranty runs out on my '16.

If by "lane line avoider died", do you mean LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System)? Did you get a error message? Are you sure you didn't accidentally switch from ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) to "standard" cruise control by pressing the button on the steering wheel? If you disabled ACC, LKAS will also be disabled...

I'd request to see if they'd replace it under warranty anyway since they're prone to burning out.

If not... I'd find a burnt out one online or marketplace as I've seen them go for very cheap. Throw it on your car and force them to replace it 😆

I asked if they would do the other side at same time. Service writer almost took my head off because that would be "cheating". He claimed they had to return the bum ones to Honda (true or otherwise?) and they'd find out the right side was working so dealer could be in deep :poop:

Still have 2 years before the extended warranty expires, so no great rush to install a bad one and make them replace it.
