Wife just drove down from Jax to ft laud and right thru the part of the state where lovebugs abound this time of year, these come off easily, but are a pain while you are driving. I am looking for a TEMPORARY solution to handle this. I am not interested in a clear bra as this only happens once or twice a year and not here where I live. So what's everybody think?

I'm thinking:
taping up the front with blue painters tape before I go ( gauche)
using clear tape (Better)
some type of spray?
Pam?

any suggestions?

I honestly don't think there is really anything to remedy it besides completely covering your front end. I don't think a spray of any sort will help them from not splattering all over heh.

I am interested in getting it off when i get there easily,so i dont have the return trip with a 2nd layer...

Next week i have the same trip up and back in 24 hours...that's why i'm asking

Edit: found the temp film at griotsgarage.com.....12 bucks

I have a clear bra and stuff still sticks to it... best bet is to wax the hell out of the front, to the point of having layers of wax on there and wash it right after you have a bug attack..lol

ninja cat with gun on roof to shoot the love bugs as they come at you :]

A coat of sealer then a coat of wax and apply a quick detailer right before the ride. Now to take it off put a drier sheet in a bucket of water clean off the bugs and rinse with a hose.

And don't wait to long to wash it as the acid in those bugs WILL eat your paint in a day or 2 if not well protected!
