Even if someone were to ask about the price ahead of time and then agree to the price, person will find some way to complain about it.

If the OP notices that they charged him for $75 in parts but only used $60 worth of parts, yes, he should complain about it. Thanks for the apples and oranges comparison, though. Happy New Year.

And wow -- I just noticed you're a moderator. Do you even want people to post here?

You can keep living in this alternate reality where corporations look out for others or join the rest of us in the real world where we understand they are only looking at the bottom line and couldn't give a damn about the consumer. It sounds cynical, but working for a multi-national corporation I see it every day. We as individuals and consumers need to look out for ourselves. It's a hard and expensive lesson, but I doubt it will be made again by the OP.
Agreed that we should look out for ourselves, and for me, that ultimately means voting with my wallet the next time my car needs service. But coming to a forum and sharing these stories with other owners should be seen as a means of comparing experiences, and verifying impressions. For whatever reason, the response on this particular forum seems to be something along the lines of "it's your own fault" with a mixer of "don't complain if you didn't make sure they weren't dishonest first".

It's bizarre, and makes me wonder who's really posting here.
