This is going to be my picture thread for my car.

What the car looked like when I test drove it:

I've decided that the next thing I'm going to do is suspension. After tonight, I've realized that I can't stand the 4x4 ride height, and need it gone.

I guess that's what happens when your car is surrounded by a lowered WRX, a lowered NSX-R, a lowered Legacy Outback, an S2000, and a lowered 2.5 RS/WRX.

Someone lowered an Outback? Pimped out station wagon? :dunno:

When I first took pictures of my car, I took the same exact picture of the "ACCORD" underneath the spoiler. I couldn't figure out why they would put it there, you can't see it unless you are in that exact position.

Windstorm 1, Car 0

My poor car, it got hurt by the windstorm.

Ouch...what hit your car?

I know we have had a few days last fall (wow...depressing to call it "last fall" now...lol), that actually took a few trees down in the parking lot at work. Stupid facilities never bothered to take down some very big and very tall dead trees, and the high winds snapped them like twigs. I luckily don't park anywhere near them (sap, birds, etc). Also luckily in the few times I saw the aftermath no car took a direct hit...but I'm sure the branches scratched the paint in at least one of the cases.

Here are the pics:

I can't really tell from your pic...but do you think it made it through the clearcoat? If all it did was scratch the clear (therefore the "white" in your pic is deflected light and not primer), it might be able to be fixed with a high speed polisher or something in the hands of a pro...

Yeah that actually looks worse that what it probably is. I was dropping a few trees on my property and my dads truck was in the area, and a few branches scraped the front. Just from rubbing them with my shirt sleeve most of the scratches came out.

I think a nice buffer and the right chemicals would help take some of that off.

Last Thursday night we had a windstorm. We have two portable, fully enclosed, carports from Costco tied together. Our truck is parked in the one to the right, my car is parked in the one to the left. The window was so strong that it pushed the two carports, which are tied together, over to the left about a foot. There are about 3 or 4 poles on each side. My guess is that the wind gusts caused one of the poles to rub against the car, resulting in what you see in those pictures.

When I went to get in the car Friday morning I saw that the carports were pushed over. The pole wasn't touching the car, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to back out with out hitting at least one, probably two, of the poles. I had my dad move the carports over, and that's when I saw what happened. It took me about half a day to deduce what happened. I was kind of stumped because the pole was about an inch from the car, but finally figured out what happened.

I think there is at least one scratch that went through the clear coat. I can feel at least one scratch with my fingernail. I do plan on saving up about $3,000 in order to fix some of the little dents and scratches, full repaint in Sapphire Blue Pearl, and full clear bra kit. I'm kind of anal retentive like that.

All of the noticeable dents, dings, and scratches seem to be on the passenger side.

Dang, my cell phone takes pretty good pictures, don't you think? BlackBerry did a pretty good job with their first smart phone with a camera. It's a 1.3 mp camera on my BlackBerry 8100c.

For a cameraphone, those are pretty good actually (the camera on my V360m sucks...its what I used for those "tree" pics I posted above).

If it will be a while before you get the car repainted, I'd still try and see what I could do. You sound a lot like me actually (anal about any damages to my/your car), and I know that would be driving me up a wall right now. Take some more pics once you get the car washed, as some of that might just come right out.

Considering the damage...I'd still be tempted to see what a pro with a rotary and some 3M rubbing compound could do. As for the one larger scrape (I figure thats the one that made it through the clear), I'd give a Honda touch-up paint pen a go...just before you do go buy some Langka Blob Eliminator (http://www.langka.com), that way if you don't like the touch-up you can just wipe the touch-up paint off without harming your OEM finish. Stuff works wonders in cleaning up touch-up mistakes/blobing/smearing and I can attest to that. Only thing to keep in mind is that if you have had any non-factory paintwork done on your car, the Blob Eliminator can actually take that paint off as well :paranoid: as it is ONLY safe for factory paintjobs.

It hurts to see the scuffage. :( I sympathize, because someone at work recently scraped my rear fender because they got to close in the parking spot next to mine. I thought it was dirt until I tried to clean it off and discovered three chip marks that made it through the paint. I haven't brought myself to take pictures of it yet. The worst part is that they didn't leave a note. Grr.

New wheels

I got my new HFP wheels installed today. After I get home I'll load up the pictures and post them.

I love the HFP wheels. I wish they made an 18" version though. I'm sure the gunmetal color will look killer on your car. Gotta love the navi 6mt.

Congrats on getting those. Ever sense I saw those at the delealer on a sedan (i posted photos a while back) I've been wanting those. But first turbo, and then more cosmetic stuff.

Okay, finally, some pictures. I haven't resized them, so I posted thumbnails. Just click and you'll be taken to the full size versions.

The wheels after we pulled them from the boxes, got to inspect them, you know:
