So, here is a story about my lovely accord and... err... mushrooms and maggots...

Couple weeks ago I was visiting my friend. He lives in a ranch, and to get to his house, I'd have to drive a little off road where cows walks freely and poops everywhere.

So I saw bunch mushrooms that grows on one cow poop that looked really nice... I wanted to take it home and take picture of it (i'm a photographer, i love nature..), so I picked it up and throw it into my back trunk and kind forgot about it...

I live in Texas, and temperature outside is about 95+ degrees... Okay, so two days later, I needed to take something out of my back trunk. I opened the trunk, only to smell the nastiest foul smell one can ever imagin (kinda like decayed human flesh...) I looked around for the source of that gross smell... only to find out there are some tiny little thing that's running around the dried mushrooms that I forgot in the trunk...

Upon further investigation, the maggots not only have been grown and eating the tasty mushrooms, but they have spread and got into almost everything I left in the back trunk... bottom of chemical bottles to bags to bowling shoes... There are at least 500+ of maggots (translate to 500+ future flies that will be grown out of my trunk, haha)

I almost puked... I have to throw my bowling shoes that I just bought couple days before the incident away and almost everything else in the trunk... I wiped the mushroom away with a dirty towel in my car alone with about hundred maggests sticking to it..

Drove to the car wash and flushed my trunk mats and bomed my trunk with chemicals... Now my accord is finally back to before maggest incident condition... whew...

A good story to not leave anything nasty in your car, or you'll regret big time.

:lmao:

WOW!
That is some nasty stuff!
Glad you took care of it before the maggots crawl their way to the front.
You should of took pics!

My little girl peed in her car seat one day and it leaked on the seat without my knowledge. After a few days in the Florida sun you can only image what the smell was when I went back to the car.

Thankfully it is mostly gone now.

Well, you shouldve sealed the cow poop in a plastic bag BEFORE putting it in the trunk.

Now a word of warning, your car might just get back at you for putting that cr@p into its trunk.:paranoid:

Can't beat the maggot story, but...years ago I was taking my dog to the vet in my old hatchback with the back seat down. The *#$* dog gets nervous and starts dropping loads all over the hatch area. He wasn't a big dog, but it seemed like he dropped more than his weight all over the place. Even after a thorough cleaning it didn't smell too nice in the middle of summer.

this isnt that gross but, me and my friend left arby's and he had a cup full of sweet tea and spilled it on the floor! i only had some newspaper and an absorber at the time and that's all i use... well now everytime i go in it kinda smells like new car/sweet tea

I can't resist.

I left a gallon of milk in the trunk after grocery shopping. A couple weeks later my wife began complaining of a strange smell in her car. I finally admitted to the smell close to a month after the first wife complaint (About the milk, the complaining is always. That's a different forum though.). By the time I found the milk the bottle was bloated and leaking. The trunk had soaked up the "juices" that had seeped. The smell was so bad I was dry heaving while I dumped the cottage cheese sour mess down the sewer. A couple of hours stripping the trunk lining and cleaning was what it took to get the car usable again.

I had to work 3rd shift one night (this never happens really) and I parked my car close to our warehouse. Well I get in my car the next morning and see foam shavings all over my back seat.......upon further investigation, there was a baseball sized hole in my leather backseat, near the lower seat buckle. I was like WTF??? I opened my trunk and there was a RAT the size of a small beagle in my trunk!!!!!! When it saw me, of course it ran underneath into where my spare tire was. I had to remove everything from my trunk.....and I mean everything......subwoofer, spare tire cover, all the panels and the spare tire......finally cornered his ass and killed him.

I found out there is a vent with a flap beneath the rear fenders that allows air to flow into the trunk. The rat pushed the flap in to get out of the cold and climbed into my trunk.........a front came thru that night.......then the rat could not escape, so he chewed his way thru my back seat.

The only positive things about this were......#1. I ususally leave my ski port open to allow subwoofer bass into my car.....I had it closed. Otherwise the rat would have had a field day and chewed everything up. #2. After 4yrs.....I did receive a new lower leather seat cover. Looks brand new now.

ewwww....... sick

word for the wise don't have mushrooms that grow from cowpies in your trunk.
plus if you would have got pulled over and the cops found them it would have been bad, because they might have been Psilocybin Mushrooms...the ones that make you :biggrin: you know...

I puked in my Accord... when I was driving. There was puke all over the dash, instrument cluster, steering wheel.. I had serious thoughts about dumping it in the backwoods and calling the police and being like IT WAS STOLEN!!!

I am never buying a used car again.

i puked out the window of my gf's crv. i was coming home from getting my wisdom teeth out, we had to drive around and get things, and the gauze in my mouth was oversaturated w/ blood, and my numbing drugs were wearing off, there was so much blood in my mouth and i puked it all outside her window. when we got home, the side of the car looked like somoene got shot in front of it. i still feel really bad but now it's all clean :)

oh and i puked outside my mom's accord window when we were driving home from a wedding and i drank too much. my entire family was in hte car including my grandpop. rofl.

They'd nail you for insurance fraud, after they call these guys... :D

I had a co-worker/friend puke in the back seat of my 96 Accord as we were driving back to work from lunch. We had BBQ. To make a long story short, I wound up just ripping the carpet and seats completely out and replacing them with new. I also had the rear driver's side (where she was sitting) seat belt replaced.

The puke actually cleaned up pretty good.. it was like hang-over puke.. haha
