MSM was not my first choice of color. Would have preferred ***, but Honda decided that, unlike Canadians, Americans wouldn't want a white car with an all black interior. I started looking at other colors, and MSM seemed nice; the name sounded macho and it looked good in Honda's press photos. Almost as dark as black, without the upkeep difficulty of one.
Picked up the car on a cloudy day and didn't pay much attention to the color. Then one sunny day, I took a good look at the actual car color and realized it wasn't as dark, or as gray as I envisioned. In fact, under bright sunlight, it has a dark green tint to it. Disappointed, I told myself I will just wrap it white someday to get exactly what I wanted.
Today, it's my first chance to drive the car during the blue hour (somewhere between after sunset and complete darkness) and lo and behold, the car looks gorgeous! Just as I thought it should look. Then I realized all those Honda press photos were taken in low light.
My conclusion is, the darker out it is, the better MSM looks! ***, of course, looks great on a sunny day, as always.
I think I need two Accords, to drive during different times of day!
