Hi guys,

I'm replacing my cabin air filter and engine air filter for my 2013 V6 Coupe so I purchased them from amazon.com

The Cabin Air Filter was sold and shipped by Amazon, I have no doubt it's 100% authentic. Paid 23 bucks. Here is a picture just for reference.

However, the Engine Air Filter was sold by ACS and fulfilled by Amazon, it came in a clear plastic bag with a sticker. I did notice it has a yellow hue rather than being plain white. Paid 25 bucks.
Is it authentic???

No, it has "5T17" in white stamped on the black plastic part.

The image on the product page has "5A29" printed in white if you zoom in at the top.

Air filter is legit. I got mine from CHH and its the same numbers and yellowish hue. Also, you will notice its a little greasy. I'm assuming this is done at the time of manufacturing as my bag had no holes/punctures.

This is from a Honda dealer, and they look the same as yours.

The cabin filter packaging doesn't look authentic and looks overpriced. The packaging on the air filter looks authentic.

There are most definitely fakes on Amazon. Look at the microSD card section for example.

Other than wheel locks, I've never purchased OEM Honda parts that did not have the red sticker which led me to believe it was suspect. When you replace, see if you see any differences. The second set of pics look better though. I've purchased cabin filters on Ebay that are stamped with the Honda Part number for 8 bucks that are not O.E. but so far so good. I usually get them from an auto store when they go on sale.

If an item ships and sells from Amazon, I think it is legit but in this case, the price was 10 bucks more than a Honda dealer so why even go that route?

My $5 cabin filter from Rockauto.com works every bit as good. Fit and looked just like the OE Honda part.

I just put a Denso from Rockauto. It is a little thinner than the OEM but should be OK. After 10 months the filter was extremely dirty.

Rock Auto currently has Fram Fresh Breeze cabin air filters for the '13 Civic and '15 Accord on sale for $6. They are the Fram filters with the carbon element. They fit like OEM filters. Add their 5% discount code and the shipping is very cheap. We bought 12. Better than $15 in the stores.
