so i was thinking about smoked tailight and headlight covers. think both would be overdoing it? i can be o c d so to me if i get the one, i need to get the other to match. but if anyone already has smoked headlight covers, how do your lights shine through? i got 12000k HIDs which I still want to shine a deep blue. let me know what you think and if anyone has pictures to share i'd appreciate it. thanks guys.

since you have 12k HIDS then you might as well get 12k color overlays, blue all over...
well i'm still saving in my piggy bank for that turbo kit. lol the visual stuff is affordable now.
i was unaware a turbo kit was even available for the 8 gens yet
yeah, theres some cheap stuff out there, but i found a good one for like 4000. as i said, still saving lol

1. 99% of people on car forums that try out smoked headlight covers peel them off shortly after. They greatly reduce light output and can also do weird things to the color of the lights.
2. Dont go 12,000k- it's ricey, way too blue, and has greatly reduced usable light output in comparison to 4300k or 5000k. Go with one of those two Kelvin ratings- you won't see anything with the 12,000k-especially with smoked overlays.
3. There is no turbo kit out for the 8th gen worth mentioning. The one on ebay is likely garbage.

(maybe, it's not exactly on my priority list. my car mainly gets used as the family car anyways, i just wanted to personalize it visually.

Headlight covers = NO especially if you want HID's, the color effect and the way the projectors look when on will not be visible, and trust me it looks GOOD... i don't know about 12000K, i have 5000 cause i wanted the most output... but i would def. say no...
As for tail tints... i have them, but i have very light ones... i just don't like the bright red on PMM... on black i think the red looks good. keep in mind everyone says they do peal off... i've had mine about 5-6months now and no problems... not to say that i won't, just make sure you get it done properly and use a high clarity, high light transmittance film...
i would say find someone with 12000k HID's first and see how you like it in person, they look nice while driving by but if you drive at night (not to mention high cop areas) you're asking for trouble and the color on the road really gets annoying after a while when all colors look distorted.
btw i like the name! lol reminds me of how brown ppl say vital... lol
