Hey guys brand new to the forum. Just purchased my coupe back in June and am loving it so far. Decided I want to add some aftermarket headlights to give it a little more appeal.

After checking both Amazon and eBay as well as visiting multiple manufacture sites I've come to the conclusion that I have no idea what I want and further that alot of consumers aren't satisfied with their purchase. Obviously I'd love to avoid that complication so I'm simply just going to ask you guys what you like and what's worked for you or what youve found works. My budget could go up to $500.

One additional note, I'm going to do the install myself if that plays into the equation at all. Looking forward to hearing your responses!

Those aftermarket projector headlights will be a terrible downgrade in terms of actual light output, even with an HID kit.

Your best option is to install H9 bulbs in your low beams and HIR in your high beams for an actual upgrade. Aside from that, you'd be looking at a headlight projector retrofit.

a real retrofit will definitely be the best option but the light output is much butter with an hid kit in aftermarket lights over the stock output. I was amazed at the light output of my spyder headlights. many of the cutoffs really aren't too bad, but nothing will match a real retrofit.

check out spec-d, spyder, or anzo lights.

Sedan reflectors are terrible even with halogen bulbs. The op has a coupe with stock projector halogen headlights.

Yeah I wish the sedans got the halogen projectors as well.

Many people just put hids in the coupe lights and it's about the same as any aftermarket lights. But if you don't want diy led syrups or halos than aftermarket lights are the best choice and aren't as bad some say

Thanks for the responses guys I haven't made a decision yet but have contacted lightwerkz about a retrofit kit. Check out their site to see some of the work they've done in the past, I was pretty impressed with their angel eyes.

I don't know what "kit" you speak of. You can send your headlights to lightwerks to get them retrofitted. There is no "kit" to do it on an 8th gen coupe. Any hid projector retrofit into a coupe will require cutting and fitting new projectors to the stock housing. I can tell you the labor alone from lightwerks is $580. This doesn't include the actual projectors/ballasts/bulbs. And while your in there paint the housing that's $100 bucks extra. After shipping unless you live in New Jersey and can drive em over there you are talking a grand if you buy decent projectors ballasts and bulbs. I won't even go into how much Orion v4 halos are and what not. Good luck if you have questions please ask.
