So I just bought my first car today-a white honda accord lx-and I'm hoping you guys can give me some suggestions and recommendations on what I should upgrade. For me, I was thinking about the sound system but I'm not sure what specific brands or model I should go for. Any other things like hid , trims, tints, etc? Would really appreciate it!

I've had good luck with chrome valve stem caps on my Accord. My butt dyno tells me that my car handles better, gets better gas mileage, has lower E.T. on the strip, and makes much more HP and torque. YRMV.

This is what i did when I first bought my Sport 2017,

- LED Headlights (Got the LasFit ones - works amazing)
- Tints (only with 35% since thats the legal limit here in Toronto but I wish I had gone for 20%)
- Prostyle Package (Sports Grille, All weather mats + Trunk, Illuminated Door stills)
- Body-side mouldings (I know people here don't really prefer it but personally I just had to get it from past experiences)


Now Considering getting the LED lights package for interior lights (Dome, license plate lights, door-side lights etc.) I found one for like 30 bucks off ebay but I'm just not sure how it would look so haven't pulled the plug yet.

I would recommend SEARCHING and READING as many posts on this site as you can. Almost, if not EVERYTHING, has been discussed, with details, and pictures!

Then you can decide what YOU think is the best mod for YOUR tastes.

Does your car have the 16" Firestone tires? Ugh! First thing to buy is some take-off EX 17" wheels and order some decent new rubber from TireRack. Our LX always felt like it was going to trip over itself with the OEM tires. We went with BFGoodriches... a very pleasing upgrade for sure. Sell the originals wheels and tires on CL, someone with a Civic will be happy to have them.

This is my 2016 LX. The first mods I've done to it were Splash guards, trunk lip spoiler. And I agree that the 16" stocks tires don't handle well so I went ahead and purchased some takeoff wheels from another member here. I've also gotten HIDs, LED daytime running lights and OEM fogs. Here are the before and after shots of my car.

So far my 2017 Sport has got LED headlights, LED interior lights, LED reverse lights and 20% tint all around. Waiting for my LED turn signals to arrive and resistor harness.

I'd recommend the following if you the time and money to do it:
1. Replace the stock audio system
2. Get some better rims and tires
3. Get some tint
4. Get an cold air intake
5. Do an LED conversion swap.

Haha thanks, I've done a lot to this car in a year. I've gotten some 6000k 9005 LEDs for DRL and High beam from amazon (forgot the brand lol).

For low beams, i went with Innovited 5000k HIDs (which later I switched to 6000k bulbs to match the switchback LEDs)

I've also got JDM Astar 6000k switchback LEDs with resistors.
