But you have a touring. Not all models have the courtesy lighting. What’s sad is Honda charges extra labor for adding similar items. Say you wanted the puddle lights and the courtesy lighting. Essentially they are ran to and from similar areas through the cabin with them having to take out half the dash. It just sucks they couldn’t combine labor for similar add ons.
Agreed! I installed the puddle lights, rear usb, accord lit door sills, and ambient lighting all at the same time. they were pretty much the same wiring run and they plug in to each other/same location. Combined labor would be ideal if you needed to take it to the dealership to add. Other than the puddle lights everything else didn't require much effort.

Part number for harness and lights for Accord door puddle lights 08V27-TVA-100. Just do a quick google search on them, plenty of places sell it.
Puddle lights are an accessory for all Accords. They shine down onto the ground from underneath the vehicle.

Door courtesy lights (which is what the OP was asking about) are found on the EX-L (2.0T and Hybrid trims only) and all Touring trims. The emit light from lower inside of each front door. They cannot be added via "plug and play" to the lower trims that did not come with them.

Correct and thanks - I updated my previous post to add the EX-L 2.0T and Hybrid as trims that come with door courtesy lights.

Okay cool, I keep finding things I didn't know about... It has a compass and the owners manual makes it sound like only the models with navigation have it

2018 Accord LX . You have to build a wire harness and do some work to get the wires through the door boot. And then tie into the accessory location on the fuse panel. However at night it is totally worth it.

It may already be posted on this thread, however there is an excellent video on youtube detailing the process. Do a search, you will find it. If you're not into projects that can be frustrating, DON'T DO IT.

On the differences between 2017 or 2018, it's still be basic doors and connections. There isn't anything which will prevent you from doing the courtesy light install.

Cannot find said video all I'm seeing is 9th gen stuff which the install is diffrent since they still have door switches and the 10th gen doesnt.

Hey everyone. I'm a bit late to the party but I've got a question about this modification. I own a 2018 Accord Sport 1.5t. On a whim when I bought the car, I asked them to throw in the puddle lights to sorta "seal the deal". I had no idea how much was involved labor-wise to install them. The particular car I bought didn't have the obligatory dealer-installed tint but the invoice had a $100 markup for it. They said that markup is on all invoices and that the car should have had tint but their installer must've skipped the particular car I was buying. Since I wasn't going to let them charge me $100 for nothing, I asked to install the puddle lights instead of that cheap tint. Boy did I make the right decision apparently. Lol. Anyways, my question is since I already have the puddle lights, shouldn't this modification be as simple as running wires through the door grommets and splicing into the preexisting harness for the OEM puddle lights? Thanks in advance.

I realize this is an old thread, but these are now available as an accessory that plug in directly to the Touring harness.

Kind of badass...

Kind of badass...
I already have every single factory accessory, Black Ed. 2.0T, want to replace the door handle lights with leds to match all the others, it is the only incandescent on the car. @@Has anyone done these?

I’m interested in this, as well. I just replaced all of my other bulbs the day before yesterday. I believe these are the last incandescent bulbs in the car.

Pop the factory door panel lens off and this just plugs in. And in my second picture, see the top of the picture? The lens actually has a projector built into it.

I would run out and take a picture of it for you, but my car is spending the night at the dealership. Having a heated steering wheel installed, and the accessory kit didn’t come with the wiring harnesses. So, the tech had the car apart and I said don’t put it back together, just take me home, in the shuttle and I’ll drive my Type R for the next few days.

Forgot that I took a video of the install. Here are the projectors.
