before trade was $18700. my car was worth nothing after being dropped to the ground. what model are you looking for? i can talk to the salesman for ya and pretend your a relative buying a car.

Well, I made the deal on an '07 SE V6  but was not able to do any better than when I started about 5 weeks ago. :thumbsdow $20,900 before tax and fees. After my trade and everything added in, my total is $16,860. I will put $2,500 down and finance the rest. The dealers were not moving in my area yet. I had offers from two dealers and never even received a call back. These guys know they have a good product and deal hard and the stupid low leases out there help to sell so many extra cars that it only hurts the guys like me who want to buy outright. Oh well, this Saturday it should be done.

Brick

So they are only giving you $5500 for your trade? That seems very low for an 02 Accord with 100k on her. You may want to check kbb.com for the correct value. They should at least give you trade in value for it esp at a honda dealer.

Brick: U can easily bring that down to $15k with trade? don't do it until they give you $15k out the door.

I got $16700 for my older 97 SE with 140K+ miles.

Oh trust me, I have gone over and over with these dealers what I feel they should give me from my trade (5 weeks now) but they won't budge...and honestly I do not feel like going through the hassle of selling it myself. The funny thing is, this particular dealer gave me the least amount for my trade but the best price on the car. The dealer that gave me the most for my trade, $6,000, quoted me the highest price for the new car. The real problem I see around here is the darn leases are so good, the dealers really have no problem getting rid of the cars right now. The better deals will probably start showing themselves at the end of July...but I don't really want to wait. That whole "patience is a virtue" thing gets away from me. :lmao:

Bring the $16860 do a different dealer and see if they can beat it, if they beat it by a couple hundred then go back and show them the price. Go back and fort between dealers.

NJ isn't too far from Mass...drive up and I'll set u up with a deal that you can't beat with a stick.

I just saw a sad sight. 60 brand new hondas with light hail damage. The prices seem to be pretty good esp since its cosmetic. My old Civic was white and you could only tell there was hail damage by looking at it from an angle.

The website is www.midwayauto.com . Click on autos for sale then click on honda..ouch!

Just curious, but what are the leases running now on 07' Accords?

Congrats! Post them pictures!

Congrats Brick! we have the same car, im happy for you

Congrats Brickman.

On the trade-in price, I wonder if being over 100K eliminates the dealer doing a certified resale. I also wonder how much 6th Genititus is behind lowering the values of these vehicles.

Are you still moderating CordClub?

Thanks for the congrats....it is appreciated!

I could not get them to move on my trade :thumbsdow ...and I tried for 5 weeks! I am OK with the purchase though. I am paying it off in 3.5 years and expect to drive this one for more than 5 years this time.

As to the website, yes, I am still there. After a long absence from the admin, which saw us losing a battle with spammers, the admin has returned, upgraded the web hosting software, cleaned up the spam and given the moderators more abilities to help control the spam. Unfortunately, the first months of this year, before the admin's return, the site was so over run with spam that myself and the other moderator were unable to keep up with the posters and eventually we both gave up. I was spending 45 minutes a day just removing offending posts one by one and we both finally decided it wasn't worth the effort anymore. Well, we lost a lot of regulars because of that and now, even though the admin is back and the site is cleaned up, traffic is really slow....be we will get back there eventually...TexasHonda is back and the 4th and 5th gen owners and their questions are starting to return. Thanks for asking and I hope to see you around.

Good to hear. I left after all the Spam. I'll pop over from time to time.

The car has be be less than 75K for a Honda dealer to certify it.
