Hi All,

New to the site, and have a 2005 Honda Accord EX, V6 that I recently purchased. Since then, I have added some 18" and tinted the windows. The next project I would like to start on is lowering the vehicle a bit. As you will see by the provided picture, there is too much wheel gap so I would like to eliminate that. I don't race, and this is a daily driver so it would be nice to increase the handling around turns but I don't need to adjust it or slam it to the ground, but I would like to avoid bottoming out on speed bumps and pot holes.

So my question is, what would you suggest, the Pro-Kit or Sportline?

I was also thinking of possibly going with the Megan EZs but from what I've read, they can blow out pretty quickly (10 - 20 K). Plus, I don't really need the adjustability. So I guess I have to weigh the cost of potentially replacing shocks in comparison to a coilover.

I am also looking at some Excel-G shocks, which I know are OEM replacements which some people may scoff at, but do you think Tokico blues will make that big of a difference?

I'm kind of all over the place here, but any suggestions would be helpful.

Tokico Blues and Pro-kit. Mine lasted about 70K miles.

I know we are talking about different car, different wheels, different city, etc, etc.

That's my experience. So I would do it again.

Tokico Blues were better than KYB. KYB just seems a tad bit softer. Same car, same springs.

Where do you live? How much of a drop are you looking for?

Pro Kits will lower you about 1.2" (front) and 1.3" (rear). Depending on the struts you will get a ride close to stock but with better handling.

Sportlines will lower you about 1.9" (front) and 1.4" (rear). It will give you more of an aggressive look. Not as comfortable as Pro Kits.

I would go with coilovers though. But if I had to choose between both sets springs I would pick the Pro Kits with nice struts (NYC roads are bad).

Good stuff. Thanks. Thinking of adding a cold-air intake as well to boost the HP and increase fuel efficiency. Any other suggestions as to mods? I would love a new head unit with Nav, but it looks like I would have to go aftermarket.

Neuspeed SuperCup Kit. Best setup for the money.
