I'm thinking about getting a ProClip setup for my iPhone in my '12 Coupe. I've searched and can't find many pics of what the mounts look like with a phone attached in the various locations they're offered. I'm thinking about getting the one pictured below but I'm wondering how much of the navi screen is blocked. Any pics, experience or advice anyone can add about the ProClips and locations would be valuable. Thanks.

Probably not best to get the one in the picture since it'll block your view of the navi. Maybe the one on the other side of the navi that's shown on their website. I was interested in this as well, but ended up just getting a small weighted dash mount for cheap on Amazon w/ iPhone mount that has served me well.

It has a lot of friction on the bottom. The pad has not moved at all since I've had it and it works very well.

Yeah that's my main concern is how much of the navi screen it will block. Their picture is taken at steering wheel level and I think it would look quite a bit different from the headrest. Having it on the other side of the nav screen is a little bit of a long reach but I might end up going that route.

I can only show you what mine looks like from MY eye level view (I'm 6'0"), with my Garmin in it. I'll assume since you have the larger, deeper nav screen it may cover the lower left corner of your screen with a device in place.

I went ahead and ordered the ProClip bracket that goes on the left side of the navi screen. I'll take pics when it arrives. It seems like the ideal place for the phone. If it blocks too much of the nav screen then I'll probably order the Panavise bracket coupled with the ProClip mount.

i have that version, but my car is not navi. it does block the driver side thermostat temperature unless i lean forward or to the side a bit so i don't think you'll be happy with the placement. i'd have gone with the Honda Accord 2008-2013 - ProClip Angled Mount.

In my last car I had the proclip center mount and just didn't like it because it blocked the navi screen. This time around I ordered the proclip left mount. With the phone on the left side of the steering wheel it does not block anything in the center console. For charging I just got a 10 foot cord and discreetly wired it in the paneling.

Here is a picture I just took of mine. Maybe it will help?

Just wondering if this A pillar mount might become a hazard if you are ever in an,accident & the pillar airbag deploys...? Id sure hate to catch an iphone to the face at airbag speed

Does anyone actually have the Panavise unit and can say exactly how far out it extends from the dashboard? I have a SkyFi XM radio that needs a place to be mounted. The Panavise seems to be the best location. Right now it's sitting in the center console.
Either that or does anyone else have pictures of a XM radio mounted in their car?

I received my ProClip mount for the driver's side of the nav screen. With an iPhone mounted to it, it cuts of almost exactly half of the view. Definitely not going to work for me. Here's a pic of exactly what I see. I'm 6'1" and have the seat lowered all the way. It's a bummer because it is a really convenient place for the phone to mount otherwise. I think I'm going to go with the one that mounts on the passenger side of the nav console.

Yea, that is a bummer. You think the right of the nav screen is too far away? prolly not. can you get a close side shot of the wya the phone is held/mounted.

Couldn't you just slide the clip over to the right?

I have the ProClip for the non-navigation 08' sedan. I got a little creative with mounting the phone holder, it was a Kensington suction mount that I took off the suction part. Drilled a couple holes more to the left of the ProClip 'rectangle' and now it sits perfect for both my viewing the radio and the phone display, which I use for navigation.

i really like this route you took here. i feel like you can go and do this type of thing with many different mounts as well. i have been looking for a good iphone mount for a while now, since i use it for navigation and also like to choose numbers to dial from my screen instead of the bluetooth (it is much easier and quicker). i was leaning towards a vent clip iphone mount but am worried that the cold/hot air from the vent might be bad for the phone for longer periods of time... and i like the panivise bracket with the proclip mount but seems a bit far to reach?!

I tried those routes before discovering the Proclip mount. The vent mount i bought never 'sat' right for my viewing, the lower console mount I bought never felt right because it meant for me to look down while driving (for navigation or Pandora) and the window suction mount, I just couldn't stand looking at that thing stuck to my window after awhile. I bought just the Proclip mount, but didn't bother buying the iPhone 4s attachment from them for another $30 because 1) chances are, I'll upgrade my phone within a year so it wouldn't fit, 2) I could tell the mount they sold would have blocked some of my screen, and 3) I had three perfectly good phone holders that were universal and could adapt to changing different phones on. A little ingenuity, a drill and 2 screws and I got the phone mount I wanted.
