I just gave her a quick 10 min. wash. My dad gave me my Christmas present early: TINT! They had a special for $99, so he brought mine in after get his car done. I'll get some better pics of it later when there's better sunlight. There is a lot of reflection on overcast days...but it sure does make for some beautiful pics! Now I just gotta get rid of those ugly hubcaps.

Unless you live in my area, it wouldn't be worth it to drive all the way out here. The best way is to ask people you know who does quality work. Make sure you get a warranty.

I would gladly pay more than the $100 to get quality work, it just turned out to be a great deal too! It was supposed to be $20 more for my car since it is sedan and has those two little pieces on the back window, but the guy gave the same deal to my dad since he had just had his done the same day.

VERY nice, what a nice present from your Dad. Thank him over & over for thinking of you. You will thank him even more next summer.

Looks great. LOVE THE COLOR!!! That black Civic coupe across the street is begging for tint on the front 2 windows, so maybe you can let them know about that $99 deal.:D

That civic does have tint on the front - LEGAL tint. The guy is a cop, so he probably wouldn't go any darker. Mine is actually one shade darker than legal. I didn't go any darker cuz I don't want to be any more of a ticket target than I already am.

99 sounds good. Mine was $129 for 35%.

I see room for Alloys and a Wing Spoiler!

Looks nice, clean. :)

Oops. Maybe it was the angle then. It looked like the front were clear. Your car looks good though.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone.

When I told my dad that all the hours I spent on detailing my car were worth it, he said that all the beers he drank while sitting on the porch watching me do it were worth it too.:lmao:

now just tint your tail lights, and you have a bad ass looking car!

:puke:No thanks. I prefer not to rice out my car.:thumbsdow
+1

Looks good... my car is the same color but an EX. Your hood is WAY straighter than mine. I'm jealous. Mine is like bent or something and higher than the fenders at the back left corner (by the windshield) and front right (by the headlight). It's weird. Of course I noticed it the day after I bought the car... I fixed it somewhat by cranking the rubber hood stopper (?) down a little on the high side in the front so it sits flush with the fender. Must've been getting close to happy hour in Marysville when mine came down the assembly line... :drink:

Ditto, I'm with you.

Rice it out with fuzzy dice or curb feeler is one thing :D, but intentionally degrade visibility is just poor judgement.

Think about the consequence if you are ever caught in a thick fog....., I know I would want my tail lights to be as visible as possible to the drivers behind me!

Same thing with a comment in anothe thread about tinting the headlights.

Exactly. I don't care to degrade the visibility on my car for a trend that will be cool for probably only a couple of years. It reminds me of the thread with the Accord that someone tried to make look like an Altima!

Good point about the visibility in fog. I'm currently transferring to a university where I have to commute through a mountain pass to get to it. I can expect to drive through some fog on that commute!

And tinting the front window isn't worse?! i have and enough time at night viewing out my side windows now, i can just image the front...Can't understand why its legal, although it does give it a nicer look.

The legality differs between different jurisdications.

Hence why I have decided not to tint the windows on my car, as much as I do like the looks of a tinted car, but I prefer maximum vision over vanity since I NEED to see as much as possible when I'm driving!

Rather then hearing someone referring my car as: "That was a nice Accord Coupe with dark tinted windows, too bad it got totalled in an accident because the driver couldn't see well enough of the outside world"

Only reason i bought that up is because you stated tinting the tail lights = "i agree....but intentionally degrade visibility is just poor judgement", but you didn't state anything about tinting windows or at least the front window!

Only reason i'm bring any of this out is because i think people misunderstand the term rice.

My point of view when it comes to ricers are people who badge a vichele, or swear by adding a wing or things of that sort makes cars faster. Also the types of exhaust some people use makes that car sound like a tin can.

But tinting of the lights is just a visual appearance mod, and i think there's nothing wrong with that if someone likes it.

I mean i will agree, it will make it less visible, but i've seen plenty of worse things that people saying nothing about that should be said.

A light window tint, say 85%, adds visual appeal to a car. My last (pre-owned) car came with 85% tint and it had a very subtle look and really didn't affected how well I can see out, my (personal) feeling is that 50% looks really good appearance wise, but is starting to impede visibility somewhat, so I've decided I am not going to tint my car since there is already a very slight tint on the OEM glass.

I have nothing against people "ricing" their car out, it's their car, it's their money, they are contributing to the growth of economy by purchasing fist size exhaust tips, tires that generate red or blue smoke in burn-out contest, or installing red/blue/yellow badges and racing stripes, more power to them as none of these have any effect in safety.

Whereby tinting tail lights or headlights to the point where they look almost black during day time and show only a token amount of light through the heavy tinting goes beyond making good common sense decisions.

BTW, some of these LED light bulbs to substitute incandecent OEM tail/brake light bulbs are pretty sorry sight, I mean would you rather have a BRIGHT OEM tail/brake lights or faint TUNER LED ones? :)

I would totaly agree about tinting the tail/head light that dark, but like you stated, a light tint makes a nice visually appeal, and you don't have to necessarily tint it that dark to make it look nice. Actually darker IMO is uglier. But i think the taillights are too bright anyhow, i've behind plenty of the honda with the 06 tail lights and sometimes it just hurts to stare at the tail lights anyhow, talk about getting attention!

Anyhow happy modding! :D
