Bought a pair of Rain X latitude wiper blades last week and they worked great for a couple of days, installed them without using any of their attachments.

After a couple of days the driver side blade seems like its missing the windshield and its leaving a 2 inch wide streak on the back wipe. Anyone have the same issue? Should I be using one of the attachments they came with?

I think there was discussion about this issue in the 7th Generation forum as well. I purchased a pair of ANCO wipers and they had a similar gap on the driver's side wiper. Went back to the Honda OEM blades and no problems since. Good luck with your issue.

8th gen accord's wiper system is very nicely design comparing to other honda i had in the pass. I would stick with the OEM refill. It's cheaper and more environmental friendly. =)

Goodyear ftw. They're extremely similar to oem, wouldn't be supprised if Goodyear makes em.

I have the same wipers installed for about a year and no issues. I did nothing special to install them, I don't think I used any of the adapters, but it should be obvious if they don't snap into place and stay put. Maybe you you have a really dirty window or faulty wipers? If the window was really dirty to start with, I'd clean off the wipers with rubbing alcohol to get the grime off.

You know I was gonna post about this as I have had them on my 7th Gen now for over a month and i have to be honest they ****! Anything that is small enough to stick to them creates massive streaks, i haven't had a streak free window since the 2nd day of using them ... the pollen makes its super annoying to own these ...

Thank god I got them for free through a friend at an auto store, what a waste of money - :thumbsdow

Strongly advise against them, dunno how they do in the Winter but just the installation alone is a reason to stay away -

I am on my second pair of rain X blades, after a long hiatus. My first pair were the OEM style, the ones I have now are the latitudes. The first ones didn't last long, and neither have the latitudes. I got the second ones since they were on sale (buy one get one half off). Never again will I buy rain x blades.

I've tried both of the "top" aka expensive brand blades (RainX Latitudes and Bosch Icons) and they both ****ed. I complained to both companies and got refunds. Now I just buy the cheap store brand wipers and swap them out every couple months when I start to see them streak.

i got the rain-x latitude blades for my 7th gen. works pretty well, but they do streak sometimes. however it seems like if its a big rainstorm ,its works better. i can't go back to honda blades because i threw mine away by accident after getting the rainx ones=/

It basically has to do with the way those solid bar wipers are on our windshields. Our windshields are simply too flat for those wipers to be effective...That bendable rubber can only straighten out so much before it starts to push up in the middle from the sides recieving too much pressure...

Unless I'm mistaken, when you use the wipers a huge gap is left unwiped about in the middle of where the blade should be moving across. That is because it is getting pushed up in the middle..Your best bet is to go get some basic Trico old school wipers. They are used on probably 80% of stock cars out there. They last a good while and are cheap as dirt too. I ran them on my accord and have had ZERO problems with them. No streaks and no gaps...100% wipes.
