Anyone have a suggestion for this? Short wife hates it
Great find! Good to know the rear is bolted. I hadn't looked into this yet since I rarely have passengers.Looking at how the Accord's seat is bolted to the floor, the rear bolts are vertical, but the front bolts are at an angle, maybe 30° off vertical.
So, it would be easy to install spacers and longer bolts the rear and bring the rear of the seat up, but it's almost impossible (for me, at least) to raise the front of the seat.
Except... Here's a custom kit that does it:

How 'bout making a batch, and selling them via this forum? I'd happily pay up front for a set, especially the fronts.I'll probably just make my own blocks since I already have some aluminum bar stock and taps in common seat bolt sizes.
Thanks a lot for sharing this. I think I will order them for my driver seat. I see it can work for both driver and passenger seats. I know the passenger seat will benefit from it too for sure. I will have to order for both seats then. All you need is a metal spacer with sufficient surface area and a hole in the middle. A heavy square nut with threads bigger than the seat bolt's could work. Thanks a lot for sharing this. Does anybody know if there is one for the rear? These are only for the front of the seats. Any links for one for the rears?
Given that they sell these in RHD markets, the "passenger" seat would be the driver's seat, and presumably fully adjustable... How nice it would be to get a complete seat out of a wreck, for cheap!Does the overseas Accord/Inspire have the height adjustable passenger seat?
...
That is, if you can get the parts to do it.
Like 2Many said, the rears are a simple DIY block or stack of washers, with a new longer bolt.Does anybody know if there is one for the rear?
Lol, let us go to Japan and find one and bring back!Given that they sell these in RHD markets, the "passenger" seat would be the driver's seat, and presumably fully adjustable... How nice it would be to get a complete seat out of a wreck, for cheap!
Shipping a seat internationally is typically crazy expensive, though...

And like he said, don't scrimp on the bolt...
This advice is of the utmost importance. You'll probably need longer bolts too. I recommend grade 8, flange head bolts for best safety factor when clamping down stamped sheet steel like seat tracks. If the manufacturer used a flange head bold then I'm going to replace it with one. Cap head screws are not a good choice unless you have thick washers with a precisely sized hole to prevent tear-out in a crash. I always approach modifications like these with caution. You don't want to risk adding a weaker element.
Actually, I was referring to the LHD versions being sold overseas.Lol, let us go to Japan and find one and bring back!
As for the rear seat jackers, that sounds really easy. It would be nice for someone to get it done and share with us how to do it. Pics and prices.
I basically just called that company above and they said they are sure the rear they sell for a Tacoman or Tundra would work for the Honda. They asked me to please send them some good pictures of the rear so they can let me know if it will work for sure. And if I buy it and it does not work, I can send it back to them.
Right, not the whole car (!), but if you got the whole seat (a RHD driver's seat), then you would have the lumbar adjustment, as well...Actually, I was referring to the LHD versions being sold overseas.
You wouldn’t need to buy the whole car, or even the whole seat...
Really, it's an easy DIY job with scrap that you probably have lying around. You could buy somebody's "kit," but it'll be <$10 of hardware (retail, <$5 wholesale) and cost $50 or $75.As for the rear seat jackers, that sounds really easy. I guess we will need someone to try and find a "kit" from a local hardware store that would work for our cars. I mean, I would love my seat to feel as high as if I am in a Toyota Crown. That would help a lot. I do miss having a suv and was tempted to get a CR-V, but I wanted a sedan but with the seating of a suv. Only the Toyota Crown offers that.Really, it's an easy DIY job with scrap that you probably have lying around. The lumbar adjustment would be nice, but if it means more work and fabrication to get it to work on the passenger side, I’d rather go with the easiest way to get the factory height adjustment for now.Right, not the whole car (!), but if you got the whole seat (a RHD driver's seat), then you would have the lumbar adjustment, as well...
Also, from what I've seen, people remove seats and sell them whole. They don't typically dismantle the seat itself.
I have lumbar adjustment on my 2024 EX-L. Do you not habe lumbar adjustment? The lumbar adjustment would be nice
Driver’s side I do, but not the passenger side. I don’t really need it on the pass. side, just the height adjustment. To do the lumbar too, you‘d need a whole new seat which is more $$$. The height adjustment would just need new seat tracks bolted to the bottom of the seat frame…less $$$ in parts.I have lumbar adjustment on my 2024 EX-L. Do you not habe lumbar adjustment?
