How come we don't have these. The other feature i want is the rear sun shade. Look at the center console where the gear shift is, u see the button? thats for the power sunshade.

In Asia (but not in Japan), Accord class cars are mostly cheffuer driven luxury cars with much fancier rear seat accomodations. You are going to have features you will never get in a USDM model, where it's mostly Timmy and Suzie sitting in the back heading down to the nearest Wal-Mart. I am surprised there are no buttons to allow moving the front passenger seats forward when sitting in the back.

Exactly!!!!!! Honda pisses me off with the amount of options that they offer to us!! These are the options that I have seen in other areas throughout the world that I would have purchased:

HID
Rear Sunscreen
Side mirror turn signals
Rear AC/Heat (if it would have been an option)
Factory Tint Windows
Paddle Shifter (sports trans. from Acura)
REAR DVD ENTERTAINMENT (headrest)

HONDA......give us the opportunity to purchase these! :furious: :headbash:

Guys, as pointed out by others, on other threads, you get what you pay for; the Accords in the other markets are much higher priced (and hence have more options available)

Guys......I understand that. I know that we are not competing with Lexus LS250/350 or BMW 530i or Benz C300!

However, the options are available somewhere in the world on Honda vehicles therefore Honda would not have to design the option. They just have to make it available in their order system for the USDM to purchase. Technical Support would be nothing since we do have similar options available through the Acura TL & TSX.

All I am saying is to have the opportunity to purchase.

No.

When will people realize that you need to look at the big picture - you CANNOT offer all of your options on the lower models, then no one will buy the higher priced models.

Hell, they could put the SH-AWD on the Accord too, but then why would you buy the TL?

Think people. There's a reason why automakers create "cars that need more features", because the simple fact is, upgrade to a higher level car if you want them.

And besides, some of the options mentioned are not even available on USDM Acuras, not alone on any Honda. What people ask here will never happen, because it makes no business sense.

Rear set vents are standard on the Camry. Halogen projectors are standard on the higher end of the Camry. I think Honda could have accomodated these two options.

Taiwanese Accord cost only about $1,500 more than the similar trim level of the USDM.
Malaysian/ Singapore/ Thailand/ China version of the Accord are either less than $ 1,000 differences or in Singapore case is cheaper than US and Canada. So we got cheated and we are all sucker, e.g. like some people here always believe that Japanese car are so "Superior” than everyone else, as long as "we" North American have that mentality. The Japanese know that so well, Asian market is a totally different ball game for them” JAPANESE", don't forget a lot of Asian still hate everything that is related to JAPAN” Nippon" remember what Japanese had done to those south east Asian countries in WW2. If the Japanese car maker wanted to win over people trust and money, they better offer something better than everyone else, plus owning an European or US made cars are considerate exotic for a lot of Aisan people, Japanese car are still considerate "DOSMESTIC" among many Asian people mind, it is made in ASIA after all. Just my $0.02.

You guys do know there are rear floor vents just under each seat for rear passengers .
I agree Honda can't have all options as Acura would lose a lot business then .

That' how those Japanese get you fooled! Toyota<Lexus Honda<Acura Nissan<Infiniti except Subaru<SAAB. How come they do not do that anywhere else in the world? Think about it, think very hard!

I agree that Honda wants to differentiate Honda from Acura but, come on, rear seat a/c ducts should have been included on the USDM Accord. I'm going to be in Australia in February and I'm going to see about ordering the parts to retrofit my Accord with rear vents. I haven't pulled my centre console apart yet but I'm sure most of the plumbing, if not already there, will be easy to add.

How soon before we see the Inspire's Auto-leveling HID's with the clear reflectors on Ebay...that's something I definitely have my eye on...

It's surprising how Honda intentionally limits technology on the Accord just to promote Acura...a brand which is hardly setting the world on fire...

Mitsubishi has standard paddle shifter on the Lancer GTS...a sub 20K car...

Hyundai offers a standard 5 speed "shiftable" automatic on its new Sonata...a beautiful tranny which I have personally tested...

Mazda is going to offer HID's on the new Mazda 3...a car competing with the Civic...yet we have to hunt for aftermarket HID's...

That how "Mighty" Honda get all those North American Fanboys on the "Ball" even the new Nissan entry level Sentra get paddle shifter and rear passenger air-vents. that car started at $1,3000!

what advantage would that give you, you already have vents going to the back.
They go from your center console vents, along center console and then under the front seats, exiting at the passengers feet .
The only thing I can see is possible positional vanes at vent exits, other than that i don't see it being worth doing.
