Is this normal? The screws connected to the engine are starting to rust. My car is not even 2 months old yet.

That's the manifold rusting, the bolts are fine. And yes its normal for the manifold to have surface rust.

It's surface rust, and it is nothing to worry about. You will find many components of your engine, drive train, and undercarriage will get surface rust, but it will not actually deteriorate the parts. My 2000 Prelude was loaded with surface rust in the engine and under neath after 10 Cleveland winters full of salt and 220,000 miles of driving. But I did not have to replace one single piece or component that failed due to rust or corrosion. In fact everything had surface rust on it but was rock solid under that exposed surface area. Even my exhaust from the manifold back to the tips was 100% factory stock when I sold the car. Rusty looking, but solid when you taped on it with a hammer!

So don't worry. I know it shocks people at first to have a brand new car and see "rust" somewhere, but it's nothing to worry about.

And remember a Blued gun is in fact rust.

No worries on these things with a coat of rust. On oil changes I use any slopped oil to wipe anything undercarriage down to coat of oil and slow the process and keep it a little clean. Never going to stop it.

Brakes are the best example used here. Look at them after sitting for a damp rainy day or two. Or at the edges of them. I wire brush the edges of mine when I change summer winter wheels and tires. Just to make sure it does not fall in the pads and have at my rotor.
