No, it doesn't chime when the low gas light is on, the light just comes on and stays on. Its pretty bright, so you won't miss it.

Buckle your seatbelt, not only will it make the chime stop,. but is a heck of a lot safer.

I always wear my seatbelt but what I wanted to know is if its a way to make it sound because mine does sound at all. I only hear a beap when I start my car and thats about it.

It should beep again once you start driving (1 block or so I think) if your belt is not secured.

I would think the SRS light would be ON if there is a problem with the seat belt system (SRS). Does the SRS light come on when you have the ignition switch in the II (ON) position? Has the car been in an accident that may have caused the SRS to activate?
Fuses 1, 2, 7 and 9 in the drivers side fuse panel all feed the SRS system. Maybe one of them is blown. Otherwise you may need to take it to a dealer to check for SRS trouble codes. The generic scanners used by the parts stores will not read SRS codes.

All the lights comes on them it goes off... Thats the only time I ever see the SRS light.

The SRS light is for the air bag system, it has nothing to do with the seat belts. The seat belt has it's own light, and the SRS light isn't going to turn on just because the seat belt isn't fastened or if the seat belt "alarm" doesn't work.

Does your seat belt light come on if you're not wearing your belt? If it does, how far have you driven with your belt off to check if the alarm turns on? If you "always" wear your seat belt, how do you know it doesn't work?

The seat belts are part of the SRS system and will trigger the SRS light if there is a fault in the latches or belt retractors (been there), but it sounds like the SRS light is working normally, so thats probably not the problem.
The Accord service manual says to check for a blown fuse 9 in the drivers side fuse panel as a possible cause of the a seat belt buzzer problem. Thats about the only easy thing to check as the other steps involve troubleshooting the drivers multiplexer and wiring.
I am guessing this is a 2000 Accord based on your user name?

Well if I take the seatbelt off to get out the car when its on of course i'd know if it sounds or not.. DUH!

dude, seriously? imna check my fuses when i get home! i'm tired of looking at the SRS light and knowing that my airbag wouldn't deploy in the event of an accident! haha.

yea, i was about to say something to that affect! i've read all over the 6th gen section that the SRS light is sometimes caused by a seat belt issue.

Hold up! There is supposed to be a seat belt chime if you have not fastened it!? :jawdrop: If so I have never heard mine go off ever. I recall driving for a time with the seat belt off and eventually the seat belt light would just turn off. I usually always wear my seat belt and having the chime seems just annoying. My wife's car has it and I do not like it. :grumpy:

come to think of it, i havent heard mine go off. i always wear my seat belt, but sometimes after leaving my store for closing, i drive across the street to the bank (have 2 go across 2 big parking lots & the main road separating the 2) and i havent heard mine go off.

You're missing the important part. I'll type slow and in big letters for you. YOU HAVE TO DRIVE THE CAR WITHOUT YOUR SEATBELT ON FOR THE CHIME TO TURN ON. JUST TAKING IT OFF TO GET OUT OF THE CAR WILLL NOT TURN IT ON.
