i had a day off and i took a nap. when i woke up i saw my wifes cousin waxing my car. now i remembered that my car was dirty and also keep in mind that the cousin is a little slow. so i went to him and asked him did he wash the car first. he said no just started to wax. everyone knows that now the dust and dirt is scratching the paint/clear. the finished product was nice but when i washed it again later. i seen a lot of swirl marks. SHOULD I BE MAD AT HIM? or let it go because hes slow and trying to be nice? THANKS JARROD

are you fvcking serious? you made a thread for this?

mad or not you can't do anything to change what happened. give him a break he was trying to help you out despite him not knowing what he was doing

You can't be mad......It's family. That's the crappy thing about in-laws.

I try my hardest to not let family help wash my cars.

I'll give them other stuff to do around the house for money.

He was just trying to do something nice for you. I would say get the marks buffed out and move on, hard to not look like a jerk for flipping out at someone who was just trying to be nice.......

too late to be mad IMHO, it is moot since this has already transpired. Just teach the little bugger how to wash, wax and clay, to prevent more mishaps in the future, maybe he will fix most of the scratches when he clays next time....

well to make things clear i didnt get mad at him i actually paid him for doing the job. but when i seen the marks i was actually laughing because i know why. thanks for thinking that i was pissed off about the guy. and also fyi hes 35 yrs old not a little boy. thanks

lol at v-6 calling him a little bugger when hes 35 and at you for calling him a little bit slow.

I would be annoyed as hell. But he was trying to do good, so try not to be too harsh on him.

That must be some magical clay if it can take out scratches.:lmao:

Just use SwirlX or ScratchX 2.0 with a foam pad and they should take those scratches right out.

Push him down the stairs. :paranoid:

Let it go.

You should be mad at yourself for not telling him exactly what you wanted and how to do it, since you stated that you knew he was "a little slow" to begin with.

It is more your fault, than his.

The thing is, the OP never asked him to clean or do anything to his car.

Then he should sit back and look at the beautiful sunset. After all, he is in Hawaii.
yeah, i dont feel sorry for OP at all, he's in frickin hawaii :lmao: there are MUCH better things to look at over there than at your car

is he actually "slow" like as in medically slow? or just half "out there?" ... if he has no known medical issue.... then i would call him an idiot.... and make him fix the scratches.... i would show him how... and then have him fix them with the scratch x or swirl x......now if he has a medical condition... then obviously you cant be upset.... just explain to him what was done wrong... and how to do it next time..... or just tell him to stay clear of your car

to be honest, i would be livid about that, BUT since he is "slow" as you put it, and there was no malicious intent, you cant get mad. good luck

Since its your wife's cousin she should go to him and make him pay for damages. Its never too late to get it fixed. He should have had better manners as a guest then to go touching your property without permission.Family or not that doesn't give people the right to mettle with thing that's not theirs. If he is "Slow" like you said then his parents should be liable.I don't play that its family crap.If its family then family should have it taken care of and care even more:thmsup:
