So I was going for a more classy look w/chrome trim, but I think I want to go for a more sporty look now...so I photo shopped pictures of my car to get an idea. Can you guys give me your advice on how you think it'll look? Do you guys think it looks too boy racer/immature!?

i like it. It is your car and people will know who you are on the roads by having a custom car.

its funny because at one point I really liked blacked out/plastidip but now i think it makes the car look like a base model and cheap. but do it if you like it that is what's important

all i know is that come spring i will be taking off my plastidip from my grille, and putting my nice wheels on...

@glen: Thanks for your advice glen...I really trust what you say cause your mods are always tastefully done...I do think it may make the wheels look "blah"

@jkahnc1: Can you take a pic further out so I can see how the whole car looks with the blk wheels. Thanks in advance

Thanks to everyone else for the input....I looked around and I see the M5, M6, and RS5 and XF do the blacked out trim on their sport models so I thought maybe it'd look cool on the accord....I just don't want to be ricerish...lol

This thread will break young guys say to black it, older guys say no....LOL

I think you could blacken the rims if they had a polished trim ring....I'd like to see that photoshopped

for something way diff, do the body color on the wheel rim....

yup..too black....car has no pop whatsoever...wheels should draw your eyes to them and these just look like black holes...rest of black looks ok...

you asked for opinions....
Good way of putting it. I agree, too much black. That blue is awesome and the chrome just sets it off.

I'm with you though, I have been against black because everyone seems to "murder" out their whole car these days but I find myself inching closer to try plastidipping my grill for that sportier look you described. To me, blacking out the trim and door handles is a little much. You paid extra to get the nicer model that comes with chrome door handles and such so why wipe it out? - Just the way I see it.

My advice would be to leave the lug nuts undipped. Personally, I think that doesn't make your wheels look so small. :D
Interesting because I think leaving the lugs silver/chrome makes black wheels appear smaller IMO.

I dunno. :dunno: Everyone has a different way of looking at things. :D But I just don't think that it looks right if the whole wheel is black, and there is nothing to create contrast. Just my opinion. :paranoid:

Never liked the chrome, honda really missed the mark with chrome, handles, and trim.
Looks tacky in my opinion.
I still have the chrome, but do not like it, hope to correct that in the summer. Good luck.

The chrome trim depends on the color car. Mine is Alabaster so it kinda flows. Def. wouldnt dip the handles in black, looks mad cheap. Black rims on your blue is too dark too.

I think the chrome trim looks good on blue. It breaks it all up.

i like black trims and door handles on your car.. but i don't think it would go well with the black rims.. you need something to pop..

are you going to plasti dip your trims?
