Considering going to a 16" or 17" wheel for the winter. Just not enough choices in snow tires for the 18" rims. Any trouble with this downsizing? Really want to run Nokians on a smaller rim...

I run stock wheels 16 inch wheels 205/60/16 rather went with something like 225/50/16 for a wider foot print. You shouldn't have a problem with downsizing

My sport came with 235/45/18 and i down sized with 17" CRV wheels and put General Altimax winter tires 215/55/17. Works perfect.

For my 2013 Accord Sport, I went with Blizzaks on 16" steel wheels with hub caps (2012 accord LX wheels). I just put them on today so we'll see how they do in the snow.
Now I can send my OEM Sport wheels out to be PVD Chromed.
What lug nuts did you use with your winter wheels? Another forum member mentioned that the 9th gen Accord lug nuts won't work with the 8th gen LX hubcaps.

I went with 16" steelies with Nokian Hakka 7 Studded. No problems at all. You just have to reset the TPMS and thats it

You need lug nuts from a hubcap equipped Accord. There is a plastic ring around the lug nut that secures the hubcap in place.

Already posted on another thread regarding lug nuts, but posting here regarding snow tires. I went with Bridgestone Blizzak WS80's on aftermarket 17 inch wheels. The two tires that were recommended were the Michelin Xice Xi3 and the Bridgestone Blizzak WS80's. I went with Bridgestone because all past experience with Michelins, I didn't like how the wore down as mileage increased.

How does one reset the TPMS? Forgive me, if it is in the owner's manual.

How do you like your Nokians? I ask because I had a set installed on an 08 MDX and my father reports a shaking over 80mph. The tire shop said they were almost not balanceable.

page 468 of the owners manual...

I went with black 17" Drag 44's with Blizzak WS80's. Great in snow on my Sport. Another great choice is Hankook I pike. I have had both an the I pike may have a slight edge, but they are both great. It was going to cost more to ship the Hankook so they upgraded me to the Blizzaks for free, which was ok by me. Not really an upgrade to me, but comparible.

Can anybody confirm if 215/60/17 will work on the Sport? Seem to be unstick and available for $50 less than the 215/55/17. Concerned it is a bit taller and may rub.

Overall diameter is about .8" more than the OEM 18" rims. I don't see that being a problem.

Winter Beast mode is 205\65R16 Michelin Xi3 on 16" Work RS Beta 1 piece wheels 16x8 +35 offset. All on OEM '14 Sport suspension. No issues so far, just waiting for the ~ish to hit the road so I can see how these Xi3's behave on it.
I do have to admit that they are by far the quietest winter tires I've owned so far (have been running winters for all my cars for the last 7yrs with various setups\brands).
