I have a 2008 EX and was wondering if you can put the EX-L leather wheel in? Will all the parts from the previous wheel swap over? Andy

You can buy an aftermarket leather wrap for most steering wheels............ you place it on your steering wheels and lace it like you do shoes. It looks amazing......seen lots of cars with it. :dunno:

quicker, cheaper and easier way to get a leather steering wheel.

It's very easy to do. I got my EX-L leather wheel from Majestic Honda online. It was like $50 or something, I forget. I took it to a trusted, local independant collision shop and they installed it for $40. It took a little under an hour for them to do it. I have had ZERO problems since, it's the best thing I have done to my car.

Yeah, it can definately be done!! I plan on doing this down the road after I get some other things outta the way. But this is definately on my to do list!!!

Sparco wheel FTW!

Thanks everyone for the help this seems like a good mod.

I swapped mine out, everything fits, its the same exact wheel with just leather on it. Best mod i did to the car. It isn't as easy as you might think though, i spent about 10+ hours getting the wheel aligned, some days it would seem straight, while on some days and different roads i would have to hold it to the left most of the time. its tricky because you have to spin the center control module and then make sure its aligned with the wheel itself at the base. its a big PITA but i got it to sit straight after a long time. I didnt want to go to the dealer because i was not about to argue with them about warranty and etc. so good luck

Also check 7th gen wheel instruction they are floating around the forum, it will explain to you how to spin the round cylinder at the base of the wheel.

I didnt realize the swap was that cheap. For $50-100 I would do the swap instead of a $50 wrap also.

will it work for an 09 LX-S model?

I'm trying to swap my steering wheel out right now. I just removed the steering wheel bolt and I'm trying to pull the wheel off but it doesn't seem to be budging. The instructions say that I need a "steering wheel puller" but it doesn't seem like this should be necessary. For those of you that have done this, am I missing anything here. There only appears to be one bolt that holds it on that I already removed it.
