Did you the appropriate supporting mods for the engine, transmission, cooling, etc.?

I am currently having a supercharger installed in my car. It’s a 2008 Honda Accord coupe V6 and the total cost will be around $7000. I was told I can use the stock transmission. I will be having 550 hp when the work is complete
First of all, I would have to doubt that the supercharger will get you 550 HP alone. I think it would take cams and a LOT more to get to those numbers. It would also depend upon which Supercharger you are getting.

So, 7 or 8k is going to cover the engine rebuild bearings, freeze plugs, gasket set, timing belt, engine blue printing, pistons, cams, valves, valve springs, retainers, head work, exhaust work, intake work, intercooler, bypass valve, trans rebuild, trans upgrade parts, engine management system, harness, tuning, dyno time, and possibly more?

Don't forget about putting that 550 HP to the ground! Wheels, tires, LSD for the trans. You can't run good ETs without being able to transfer the power!

I think that 12K or more would be a more reasonable spray!

The guy that is building my car owns a giant shop called King’s performance in Orlando. You can look them up online. They are famous for building Hondas. Also, he was on the cover of hot rod magazine for the fastest all-wheel-drive Civic in a quarter mile.

evansfsu03 When you get your car back you should take it for an independent dyno run not associated to the shop doing the work. I would be very interested to see if they actually deliver what they promise.

When will you be getting your car back from them?

Just curious, Do you know what supercharger they are putting on the car?

I am waiting for P2R to come out with their Vortech supercharger set up and will be getting that next year. I just don't like any of the other set ups. Rotrex removes the A/C, there is one from boost engineering which replaces the intake manifold but that loses the power steering set up. Then there is the original Comptech design but that is just not good at making boost and is not efficient so... that's where I am at at least.

Can you give us any more info on the set up ?

Parts have to be made to order
You know, there is one of you on every forum I have ever visited. The "my mechanic" type claiming to spend more money on work or mods being performed on their cars than many people spend on a house and never producing any supporting evidence of such claims or producing poor evidence. You have been posting this kind of garbage on here for many years.

There was a guy like you on another forum who always made similar claims and also made rediculous claims about beating this car or that with his 200 something HP 4-banger Mazda MX-6. It was fast for a 4-banger rice burner but not extremely fast.

He claimed to beat a really fast LS 7 corvette by 4 car lengths. He posted a very poor and dark nightime video from the starting point and looking at tail lights as they went down the road.

I raised the super B.S. flag on him because he may have thought he could pass the lie because the video was hard for most people to determine the truth from because of perspective, darkness and blurry video, but I know a little about math and that there are formulas to determine speed and distance with time and distance between objects.

I used the tail lights to determine the truth. I took screen shots of both car tail light sets at 1 second intervals. Then I measured distance between tails of each car at those 1-second intervals. He said the LS was an unmodified car with stock HP. So I could look up the typical E.T. for that year corvette and estimate distances. So after all of my calculations based on time, distance, and distance between tail lights of both cars, I was able to determine that the LS had at least 6 car lengths on him at the 1/4 mile mark. And he said he beat the LS by 4 car lengths!

Come on! Why do younguns have such an addiction to make such bogus claims? When one set of tail lights gets closer together at a faster rate than the other set of tails, the first is traveling at a faster speed.

"My Mechanic" translated means "I have no skills!"

Good videos/photos or it didn't happen!

lol. Whatever dude your just jealous hahaha
Not jealous in any way about a 15+ second car. What is there to be jealous about?
If you spent a fraction of what you have sprayed about spending on your car in the past you might have a sub 13 second car! Jealous? NOT!
